My Chess Journey

So I started playing chess about 2 years ago, although I knew some basics about it.
My friends and I would play chess in school during free periods or breaks, we played chess a lot and it became our daily routine. Chess actually helped me think better strategically and also helped with my problem-solving skills.
Then last year, I had tons of exams to write and I quit chess for a while to focus. Although I used to play once in a long while. My favorite chess player was Magnus Carlsen and I learnt so many openings and end games, I've forgotten some though.
Last month I decided to come back to chess and test myself, I even joined a chess tournament but I lost in the second round haha😂😅
I also decided to play with one of my friends on hive @b0s and he won me easily😒
Well, I'm fully back now and I'm going to try my best to get better at it once more. I Downloaded lichess alongside chess.com, but I'm more active on lichess. I've started slowly increasing my rating on both. The username is gaiusthetacticboss.
