Welcome my dear traveling internet researchers and thank you very much for having made a temporary stop in my post, today it is time to continue with the saga of movies of the Saw franchise in this case with its fifth installment, and this time it leaves us with a new adept of the maniacal genius who is willing to continue his work of "rehabilitating" people through bloody and horrible tests. Without further ado, get ready to investigate a new suspect because we are about to begin.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros investigadores del internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, hoy toca continuar con la saga de películas de la franquicia Saw en este caso con su quinta entrega, siendo que en esta ocasión nos deja con un nuevo adepto del maniático genio que está dispuesto a seguir con su labor de "rehabilitar" a las personas mediante pruebas sanguinarias y horribles. Sin más que agregar prepárense para investigar a un nuevo sospechoso pues estamos por comenzar.
Saw V was released in 2008, directed by David Hackl, produced by Twisted Pictures and Lions Gate Entertainment, and has a duration of 1 hour and 32 minutes. It is a horror and suspense film, the story focuses on FBI agent Peter Strahm just after discovering a site where the macabre game was carried out where there were multiple police officers, and even Peter himself is a victim of these terrible tests. Although fortunately he manages to survive, it is because of this event that he begins to suspect that there is a traitor within the police who was passing information to Jigsaw, this hunch will bring him a lot of problems.

Es un filme de terror y suspenso, la historia se centra en el agente del FBI Peter Strahm justo después de descubrir un sitio donde se realizó el juego macabro dónde había múltiples agentes de policía, siendo que incluso el propio Peter es víctima de estas pruebas terribles aunque afortunadamente logra sobrevivir, es debido a este suceso que comienza a sospechar que hay un traidor dentro de la policía que le pasaba información a Jigsaw, está corazonada le traerá muchos problemas.

The soundtrack continues to be well implemented, this is a section that this saga has managed to maintain high throughout its different installments.
La banda sonora sigue estando bien implementada, este es un apartado que está saga ha conseguido mantener en alto a lo largo de sus diferentes entregas.
The construction of the world has nothing interesting, they are still dark and sinister scenarios that will host terrible deaths, this section lost significance a long time ago because they lack that enigmatic factor that characterized these contexts in a good way.
La construcción del mundo no tiene nada interesante, siguen siendo escenarios oscuros y siniestros que albergarán muertes terribles, este apartado perdió trascendencia hace mucho tiempo debido a que carecen de ese factor enigmático que caracterizó de buena forma a dichos contextos.
The plot is boring, it maintains the same formula of showing people suffering the worst punishments imaginable, it tries to give it a certain level of complexity by showing another henchman of Jigsaw although it is honestly tedious to watch since it is an element that has been used before. Narratively it is basic, the film seeks to add various scenes that complement the previous installments but it is not something that is of much use, no twist is interesting because they all start from the fact that Jigsaw is completely omniscient and never misses any detail so that everything always goes as he planned even though he has been dead for 2 movies. Something positive is that although it is extremely predictable, at least it has a short duration, which makes the different punishments shown on the screen make the film passable.
La trama es aburrida, mantiene la misma fórmula de mostrar a gente sufriendo los peores castigos imaginables, intenta darle cierto nivel de complejidad mostrando a otro esbirro de Jigsaw aunque es sinceramente tedioso de ver puesto que es un elemento que se ha utilizado con anterioridad. Narrativamente es básica, el filme busca añadir diversas escenas que complementen las entregas anteriores pero no es algo que sirva de mucho, ningún giro es interesante debido a que todos parten del hecho de que Jigsaw es completamente omnisciente y jamás se le escapa ningún detalle por lo que todo siempre sale como él lo planeó pese a que se encuentro muerto desde hace 2 películas. Algo positivo es que pese a que es sumamente predecible por lo menos tiene una duración corta, eso hace que los diferentes castigos que se muestran en pantalla hagan pasable a la cinta.
Nothing to highlight, they are all still cannon fodder without any kind of value, absolutely all of them lack personality and are only there to suffer, the case of the FBI agent is exactly the same as those seen in other installments, a law enforcement agent who He tracks down Jigsaw and his followers, who is very close to exposing them, but at the last moment he is overtaken and killed; This constant repetition of events only highlights how the villain will always emerge victorious since no one will ever measure up to his intellect. The new subordinate is completely lacking in personality and inconsequential, he just follows orders without further ado, so he loses any kind of relevance.
Nada que destacar, todos siguen siendo carne de cañón sin ninguna clase de valor, absolutamente todos carecen de personalidad y solamente están allí para sufrir, el caso del agente del FBI es exactamente igual que los vistos en otras entregas, un agente de la ley que le sigue la pista a Jigsaw y sus seguidores que se encuentra muy cerca de exponerlos pero a último momento es superado y asesinado; esta repetición constante de los acontecimientos solamente destaca como el villano siempre saldrá victorioso puesto que nadie jamás estará a la altura de su intelecto. El nuevo subordinado es completamente carente de personalidad e intrascendente, solo sigue órdenes sin más, por lo que pierde cualquier clase de relevancia.
Saw V is clearly a film that is designed to make money, it follows formulas that are functional without daring to do anything else, the only new thing it presents is the unpleasant and horrid ways it has to make the different characters suffer. It is for all of the above that it deserves 2 stars out of 7, a film that demonstrates the spiral of decline in which the saga finds itself. If you have seen its prequels, do not expect anything else apart from new ways of making some characters suffer.
Saw V es claramente un filme que está pensado para obtener dinero, sigue fórmulas que son funcionales sin atreverse a algo más, lo único nuevo que presenta son las formas desagradables y hórridas que tiene para hacer sufrir a los diferentes personajes. Es por todo lo anterior que merece 2 estrellas de 7, una cinta que demuestra el espiral de decadencia en que se encuentra la saga, si han visto sus precuelas no esperen nada más aparte de nuevas formas de hacer sufrir a algunos personajes.

Bueno, al final qué se puede esperar de las películas de SAW. Creo que la gente solo siguen viendo las películas de la saga para ver las formas "ingeniosas" que tienen de matar, no por la trama en sí que casi siempre es la misma.
Todavía me da risa esa película de SAW no recuerdo cuál era donde para hacer ver más joven al actor de Jigsaw, le ponen una gorra echada para atrás, desde ahí se nota que les valía un comino todo, jajaja.
Con respecto al primer punto coincido, la única película de la saga (De momento) que no se enfoca en matar sino en un aspecto más psicológico fue la primera, las demás solo han ido decayendo en cuando a calidad. En cuanto a lo de "hacer más joven a Jigsaw" aún no lo he visto o lo pasé por alto, sinceramente, eso suena a más escritura floja por parte de esta saga.
