Siempre intento ver las películas de animación que más han llamado la atención, ya sea en premios o buenas críticas; ese es el caso de este título. Estrenado el 2023. Producción española. Su director es Pablo Berger y está basado en una novela gráfica de Sara Varon.
I always try to watch the animated films that have attracted the most attention, either in awards or good reviews; that's the case with this title. Released in 2023. Spanish production. Its director is Pablo Berger and it is based on a graphic novel by Sara Varon.
Sinopsis: Perro es un habitante de la ciudad de Nueva York de los 80’s. El al encontrarse en una vida solitaria, decide conseguir un amigo, siendo este un robot. Desde ahí comienza una buena amistad, pero que debido a cierto problema, tendrá que enfrentar una separación.
Synopsis: Perro is an inhabitant of the New York City of the 80's. Finding himself in a lonely life, he decides to get a friend, who is a robot. From there begins a good friendship, but due to a certain problem, he will have to face a separation.
La primera cosa que te llamará la atención después de unos minutos, es la falta de diálogos, que toda idea se comunica mediante la animación y sonidos. La trama mezcla una historia que se va desarrollando un tanto lenta pero de manera lineal. Tiene comedia, pero lo que deja principalmente, es espacio para la reflexión, sobre las acciones de los protagonistas.
The first thing that will catch your attention after a few minutes is the lack of dialogues, every idea is communicated through animation and sounds. The plot mixes a story that develops slowly but in a linear way. It has comedy, but mainly leaves room for reflection on the actions of the protagonists.
Si bien la historia tiene su cierto encanto, en ciertos momentos acaba siendo aburrida, ya que se siente la falta de personajes o un mayor dinamismo. Luego de cierta parte de la película, presentía que se venía un gran cierre final, y eso hace, pero creo que acaba debiendo interés en otras partes del título.
Although the story has a certain charm, at certain moments it ends up being boring, as one feels the lack of characters or a greater dynamism. After a certain part of the movie, I had a feeling that a great ending was coming, and it does, but I think it ends up losing interest in other parts of the title.
La animación está hecha en trazo grueso, así que si bien en unos momentos muestra escenarios detallados, la animación se siente limitada y poco fluida. La música depende en gran parte a un tema que se repetirá por toda la película, pero tiene su razón, así que acaba siendo positivo.
The animation is done in thick strokes, so while it does show detailed scenery at times, the animation feels limited and not very fluid. The music relies heavily on a theme that will be repeated throughout the film, but there is a point to it, so it ends up being a positive.
Si bien es una buena película, muy lejos de ser una película regular del montón, siento que tiene ciertas fallas que reducen el disfrute final. Si te gusta las películas de animación, esta al ser peculiar, te recomendaría darle un vistazo.
While it is a good movie, far from being a regular run of the mill movie, I feel it has certain flaws that reduce the final enjoyment. If you like animated films, this one being quirky, I would recommend giving it a look.
