A Movie in the Afternoon - March 4, 2025 @goldenoakfarm

On Tuesday I was up at 5:30AM and got the post up. I finished the laundry and then ironed the linens for the living room.

I got the kitchen cleaned up and started working on the bills/budget.

When I pulled the shades up there was a lovely sunrise. The sun is nearly to the due east. The spring equinox is just 15 days away.

The sun hitting the trees had some lovely color. It was almost like a spring morning.

My helper friend arrived at 9:30AM and he got the house plants and seedlings watered and did some chores and errands. I spent the morning on the bills/budget and was able to finish that job.

I sat for a while and then got up to get ready to go with my brother to a movie mid afternoon.

We were going to see the Bob Dylan movie, A Complete Unknown. It’s based on the book, Dylan goes Electric! : Newport, Seeger, Dylan, and the night that split the sixties.

It was a pretty good movie. Because of the hearing loss, I sometimes had a hard time understanding when the Dylan actor spoke. I expect if it ever comes out in DVD, I will get it from the library to watch again with subtitles.

The music was pretty cool. And it was interesting about the dynamic around folk vs electric. They did take license with the facts around that though.

So I’ve ordered the book from the library, but it will be a while before it comes in, as there’s a backlog on holds.

We didn’t get back until 7PM and I made a quick supper of cheese omelet and a salad.

On Wednesday I have exercise class and my granddaughter isn’t coming, not until a week from Friday. Sigh…

But I’m hoping to get back to work on the estate stuff I started months ago. It’s to rain all day.
