Don't miss the opportunity to get your PUM badge and the Hive Power delegation that comes with it. But don't take it for granted as many of the participants of the previous editions have admitted how difficult this challenge is.

The goal of the Power Up Month is to reward those who do regular power-ups rather than a single power-up like many users do for Power Up Day for example.

Let's go for another month!

August 1st is not only the Hive Power Up Day but also the start of a new Hive Power Up Month!

How to get the Power Up Month badge?

This new PUM challenge will start on the first day of the month and will last all month. Here are the rules:

For each day of the month, you will have 2 options:

Option 1:

  1. you publish a post and set the payout mode to 100% HIVE.
  2. Your post must generate a payout to be eligible (i.e. get a few upvotes)
  3. You can't set someone else as the beneficiary of your post. It is about powering up your account.
  4. You cannot upvote yourself

Using this option is also a good way to get the Monthly Author badge as well. ;)

Option 2:

  1. power up at least 1 HIVE.
  2. You cannot perform a powerdown during the month.

This option is useful if have no idea what to write about someday or just aren't a blogger at all.

You can use either option, or both, and can switch from one to the other as the days go by.

Track your progress

Go to your HiveBuzz board and click on the badge of the current Power Up Month. You will see a calendar appearing in addition to the description with all the actions you have taken that influenced your participation in the Power Up Month.

Example taken from a participant from a previous edition.

For the current day (circled in blue) and all previous days, the following symbols may appear:

SymbolDescription
You published a post with the 100% Hive power mode
You made a Power Up of at least 1 HP
A Power Down occured. This disqualifies you for this PUM

This will allow you to accurately track their progress throughout the month.

IMPORTANT:
HiveBuzz will use UTC date and time to validate post and powered-up dates. Therefore, check your timezone and convert your local time to UTC before doing so!

Strictly follow the above rules and this badge will be yours!

Additionally, you will also receive a Hive Power delegation upon successful completion of the challenge. The more badges you collect (Power Up Day, Power Up Helper and Power Up Month), the higher our delegation will be!

Both badges and delegations will be distributed after the end of the Power Up Month.

Be ready to Power Up!

Powering up and posting a blog daily is indeed hard especially for me. I hope more people will join this initiative. Advance happy power up day everyone!

Absolutely, it can be quite challenging, but it's also a great way to stay engaged with the Hive community and grow your account. The good news is that you have the flexibility to switch between powering up and posting, which can make it a bit easier to manage.

Happy power up day to you too @yoieuqudniram!

I'm excited for this challenge. I won't be setting my article allocation to 100% HP, but I will be doing my best to power up 1 Hive every day by converting some of my daily Splinterlands earnings from $SPS to $HIVE

Gracias...

Oh no, that's unfortunate! Time zone differences can be tricky to manage.
Don't worry, there will be more opportunities to participate in future PUM
