Merhaba değerli arkadaşlar,
Topluluğumuzdaki film/dizi etkinliği için, en son izlediğim Atlas (2024) filmini paylaşmak istiyorum sizlerle. Başrolde kimin olduğuna bakmadan sırf uzay ve yapay zeka konularını işlediği için filmi direk izlemiştim, ama sonradan ilk karelerde farkettim ki Jennifer Lopez başroldeymiş. Malumunuz son zamanlarda yapay zeka teması oldukça revaçta, sonuç olarak beni de ister istemez bir merak sarmıştı. Ayrıca bu tarz bilim kurgu filmlerinde elde edilen görsel efektleri seviyorum. Normalde bir filmi izlemeden önce en azından IMDb puanına bakarım. Ama bu sefer pas geçtim.

İzlememiş olanlar vardır belki, bu yüzden çok detaya girmeden sadece yorumlarımı belirtmek istiyorum. Filmin hikayesi bence güzel, mesela dünyanın ilk yapay zeka teröristi gibi bir kavram var ortada. Dünyada katliam yapıyor ve sonra tüm insanlık karşısında birleşince başka bir galaksideki gezegene kaçıyor. Orada hazırlık yapıp tekrar dünyaya saldıracak hesapta. Neden mi? Çünkü insanlığın gezegen için bir tehdit olduğunu düşünüyor. Bu fikir nedense hep zihnimizin arka planında :) Belki kendini doğrulayan olgulardan birisiyizdir...

Beğendiğim başka bir nokta ise yapay zekanın insan beynini kontrol edebilmesi. Bir aşamada kahramanımız tükenmiş bir halde ve bir itiraf noktasına geliyor. Herşeyin sorumlusu kendisidir ve bunu kavramamız için hatıralarını ekranda izliyoruz. Bir sahne yapay zekanın karşısındaki insan beynine müdahale ederek, onun motor becerilerini kontrol edebildiğini işliyor. Hatta hikayenin kırılma noktası bu sahne bence. Ama nedense daha sonra bu detay işlenmiyor.

Diğer beğendiğim konu ise yapay zeka ve insan beyni arasındaki simbiyotik ilişki. Ne insan beyni ne de yapay zeka, bir diğerinin eksikliğinde içinde bulunduğu belirsizliği yönetebiliyor. Önceki paragrafta bahsettiğim gibi yapay zeka teröristimiz başka bir gezegene kaçmıştı. İnsanlar ise dünya üzerindeki bir takım örgüt hareketlerinden yola çıkarak onun tekrar dünyaya saldırmasından korkuyorlar. Sonuç olarak bir görev timi, söz konusu gezegene giderek onu gafil avlamak istiyor. İşte burada belirsizlik işin içine giriyor. Aksiyon dolu sahneler içinde kahramanımız birçok defa çaresiz kalıyor. Çünkü yeteri kadar kestirimli hesap yapamıyor. Öte yandan giydiği, yine yapay zeka içeren, robot zırh ise tüm işlem gücüne ve örüntü belirleme kapasitesine rağmen karar veremiyor. Sanki bu biraz da amaç eksikliğinden dolayı. Herhangi bir güdüsü yok. Sonuç olarak bir arayüz yardımı ile eşleştikleri zaman ayrı ayrı sahip oldukları potansiyellerin toplamından çok daha fazlasına erişiyorlar. Tabi kahramanımız ilk başlarda bu eşleşmeye hiç yanaşmıyor.

Başka bir konu ise bulut kavramı. Bilişim sektöründeki herşeyin yüklendiği o bulut burada da güzel bir detay olmuş. Kahramanımız malum teröristin yardımcılarından birini dünyada öldürüyor ama diğer gezengende tekrar karşılaşıyor. Aynı şekilde son sahnelerde kendisini koruyan robot zırh ağır darbe alıp ölüyor ama sonradan yeni zırh verildiğinde içindeki yapay zeka kahramanımızı tanıyor. Yani yapay bilinç bir şekilde var olmaya devam ediyor.

Evet arkadaşlar bunlar benim hoşuma giden güzel temalar. Hatta oturup biraz düşünsek çok felsefi sorular çıkarabileceğimiz konular. Açıkçası herhangi bir yorum hala okumadım. Sadece bu postu yazarken IMDb puanına baktım. O da 5.6/10 seviyesinde. Naçizane fikrim şudur ki; filmin detayları günümüzde sıkça karşılaştığımız teknolojik yenilikleri güzel bir şekilde harmanlamış. Diğer yandan filmin akışı bana çok aceleci geldi. Ayrıca diyaloglar çok yüzeyseldi. Bir de kahramanın vücut dilini yapmacık buldum, yeşil perdenin önünde senaryoyu çok da içselleştiremeden oynamış. Sanki ana kahramanın ünlü biri olmasından dolayı, onun filme cazibe katacağına güvenilmiş gibi. Kotarılmaya çalışılmış... Ama konusu için izlemeye değer yine de.

For the movie/series event in our community, I would like to share with you the last movie I watched, Atlas (2024). I wanted to watch this movie just because it dealt with space and artificial intelligence. At first I didnt know who was in the lead role but then I realized in the first frames that Jennifer Lopez was playing. As you know, the theme of artificial intelligence has been very popular lately, as a result, I was inevitably curious as well. I also love the visual effects in this kind of sci-fi movies. Normally, before I watch a movie, I at least check the IMDb score. But this time I passed.

Maybe some of you haven't seen it yet, so I just want to give my comments without going into too much detail. I think the story of the movie is good, for example, there is a concept like the world's first artificial intelligence terrorist. He commits massacres in the world and then when all humanity unites against him, he escapes to a planet in another galaxy. There he will prepare and attack the world again. Why? Because he thinks humanity is a threat to the planet Earth. For some reason this idea is always in the background of our minds :) Maybe we're one of those self-fulfilling phenomena...

Another thing I liked is that the AI can control the human brain. At one stage our hero is exhausted and comes to a point of confession. She's responsible for everything and we watch her memories on the screen to grasp this. There's a scene where the AI interferes with the human brain and controls its motor skills. In fact, I think this scene is the breaking point of the story. But for some reason, this detail is not covered later on.

The other thing I liked is the symbiotic relationship between AI and the human brain. Neither the human brain nor AI can manage the uncertainty in the absence of the other. As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, our AI terrorist escaped to another planet. The humans are afraid that he will attack the world again. As a result, a task force wants to go to that planet and take him down by surprise. This is where the uncertainty comes into play. In the action-packed scenes, our hero is helpless many times. Because she can't calculate the possibilities accurately enough. On the other hand, the robot armor she wears, which also contains artificial intelligence, cannot make decisions despite all its processing power and pattern recognition capacity. I think this is partly due to a lack of purpose. It doesn't have any motivation. As a result, when they are paired with the help of an interface, they reach much more than the sum of their individual potentials. Of course, our hero was not at all interested in this pairing at first.

Another topic is the concept of cloud. The cloud, where everything in the IT sector is uploaded, is a nice detail here too. Our hero kills one of the terrorist's assistants on Earth but meets him again on the other planet. Likewise, in the last scenes, the robot armor that protects her gets hit heavily and dies, but later on the AI recognizes our hero when she is given a new armor. So artificial consciousness somehow continues to exist.

At the end, these are nice themes that I like. In fact, if we sit down and think a little bit, we can come up with very philosophical questions. Honestly, I still haven't read any reviews, I just looked at the IMDb score while writing this post and it was 5.6/10. My humble opinion is that; the details of the movie blended the technological innovations that we often encounter today in a great way. On the other hand, the flow of the movie seemed very rushed to me. Also the dialogs were very shallow. I also found the hero's body language a bit fake, she acted in front of the green screen without digesting the script. It's as if because the hero is a celebrity, they trusted her to add charm to the movie. It's a cop-out... But it's still worth watching for the plot.
