Movies & TV Shows Community Highlight #960
Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.
The Details
Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.
There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Inmaculate is far from being a masterpiece, but it has enough artistic value to deserve a chance, it is entertaining and has a couple of terrifying moments that end up justifying the entire viewing, and, for a considerable portion of its running time, I enjoyed how fresh its plot felt even though the ending ended up feeling a bit abrupt.

The tone of the story is haunting and the actors both Jung Yu-mi and Lee Sung-kyun did an amazing job in generating all this tension and suspense in the story that is not only about a disturbing sleep problem but also that there are spirits that could be causing this imbalance within the relationship of the two. This theme of spirits and witchcraft speak to how they can sometimes compromise other people's lives for better or for worse and drive them to the point of self-destruction and absolute insanity. The spirits thing was something I didn't expect and I liked it although I felt it lacked some emotion especially in the last few minutes of the movie which are crucial to see how the story ends. You would have to see it yourselves to draw your own conclusions, overall I enjoyed the movie although it was quite obvious what was going to happen at the end but I still found it an entertaining movie.

Last Sunday was the premiere of "A Great or Little Thing", the eighth and last episode (for now) of the miniseries "The Penguin "; an episode that demonstrated the greatness of the story in this production where despite the notion that many things should happen, it still created a great impact on the millions of people who watched the episode. The narrative about the life of "Oz Cobb" initially caught the attention of many who thought that this was the story about a man who regardless of his disability overcame obstacles to reach the top of a mafia organization; justly many fans of the miniseries (possibly) identified with "Oz" who despite growing up without any benefits, faced all the powerful bosses and their families who always underestimated him and treated him as the worst; all that story made people think that this was a story of overcoming, of a class struggle, the typical one where the least benefited overcomes hard trials and reaches a great goal and it is partly true, but the impressive thing is how he manages to overcome all his goals.

And what gives the name to this series is that at some point in the story, the scientist realizes that in the past she killed her own daughter, realizing that when she grows up the daughter of the protagonist is identical to the protagonist herself at the time she killed her, because of that, the scientist before dying tells her "daughter" not to go home, because she knew that this would trigger all the events that gave rise and not origin to the story of the series. It could be said that this series has similarities with Predestination with everything related to the paradox that a person is and is not his own mother, something quite rare and at the same time, the whole theme of the obsession of traveling in time to save a relative, is similar to what was seen in the series Dark. I don't know if I explained the whole plot of this mini-series well, but Don't Come Home is entertaining and worth watching, it's not the best with respect to time travel but it's not bad.

There's a constant emphasis on how strong everybody is, and Zeno, although not a fighter technically, can and does erase entire universes with the blink of an eye. There were a total of 18 multiverses, and Zeno wiped out 6 one day when he decided there were too many.

Now as the main target, life wasn't easy for her at all since she now have to live a double life in the same city where she was well known but I really give it to her, she have it all up with a convincing twist story anytime her identity almost got revealed. At some point, I had to give it a thought, what if it was the real Jian Li that actually came back to the house seeking for revenge, even though she hated the whole household especially her father for not believing in her and abandon her for 10years to suffer, her personally still look cool and I'm very sure she won't survive 40% of the trouble the stepmother show the new Jian li, if not because she was strong due to how her fiance betray her which opened her eyes to reality of things plus she was really wise, she won't have also survive the trouble.

It's refreshing to see a film that isn't afraid to show the messiness of a family life, presenting an imperfect family. The scenes between these two are some that are sure to touch the hearts of many, as they have a way of connecting with you, either in a good way or in a sadder way. Gerwig's direction shines in these moments of emotional complicity, allowing the performances to feel very authentic. On the other hand, I feel that the pacing of the film is perfect. It reflects the frenetic energy of a teenage life, while occasionally presenting us with moments of reflection.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
i don't see a lot of interaction in this community, which is strange because almost everyone likes to talk about movies and tv shows. i don't see a snaps option in the community. snaps may be a good option because personally i would rather engage in a long discussion over a one line post about a show or movie than read a long carefully posted review. something to think about
Yeah I'm not sure what the deal is with the community and how little engagement it holds. There have been a lot of attempts to get some life going in it but little attention, and there's only so much I can do. It's definitely a community that gets a bit ignored from the general Hive community and you're not the first to notice or bring it up recently actually. It seems like curators don't really look in the community and support is more person specific rather than content based.
Snaps are something I intend to support for the community (Snaps is probably my favourite feature on Hive/Peakd in a long time), but the community account's key is (safely) kept on a hdd back in the UK while I am currently in Georgia. I have plans to go back to the UK in the upcoming months and that's when I'll be enabling Snaps in the community. Hopefully once that's up it'll lead to some better interactions.
Thank you so much for your support @moviesonhive ♥️
