I gotta hand it to Amazon though because they didn't make this, or any of the other attempts and throwing social issues into the story a major part of the plot. You do sit there and roll your eyes whenever they do touch base on this though. They really can't help themselves over there and just have to throw that sort of thing in.

He has several run-ins with people as he is just trying to walk home and not bother anyone but people won't relent so he has no choice but to get more aggressive with people as they confront him. Most of these incidents become almost humorous, despite how serious the situations are. He ends up with a gym bag filled with automatic machine guns as the gang members narrowly miss taking him out in a drive-by shooting. He even gets a bazooka, which a young kid has to teach him how to use.

After finishing its first season on Disney+ this new version has us in love, I basically love that the Japanese characters speak in their language and see how they were given the task of making known in a more elaborate way the details of Japanese culture of the time, as the scenery and the spectacular costumes, without neglecting the masterful performance of Hiroyuki Sanada, who gives life to Lord Yoshii Toranaga one of the characters of the novel on which this series is based.

This movie reminds me of a true-life incident that happened some years back, involving a very popular Nollywood actress and a well-known senator in Nigeria; whose names I wouldn't like to mention here. The actress faced a lot of criticism for getting married to a man old enough to be her father as social media would put it. But as they say, time reveals all, as she now receives a lot of admiration from the same people who at first criticized her.

Another thing I love so much about the film is the suspense I felt as the characters tried to survive. The violence in this film, in my opinion, is at its peak and isn't suitable for younger viewers. I shrieked at the sight of blood, and it got worse when a twelve-year-old, who had no one to volunteer for her like Katniss did for her sister, was killed in the game. Katniss had tried to protect her, but sadly, she couldn't protect her for too long.

The most notable flaw in the series is that not all the subplots are good. I have my favorite subplots and ones I would love to see more of. I love the flashbacks, where John is played by Josh Lucas, who manages to even mimic Costner's tone of voice. The stories of the cowboys, Lloyd, Jimmy, Ryan and the others whose names I can't remember. They are likeable characters. Watching them work, have fun, live together and fight. Jhon Dutton, with Kevin Costner filling the screen with his presence. He is the big star of the series and he sure doesn't want anyone to overshadow him.

I loved this story and the season is good, but you can tell that they are trying to mold the series to the current TV agenda and changing significant facts for fans of the books. Anyway, I like to think that you can enjoy both versions, both the books and the series and it is entertaining to see what they will come up with in the next seasons. For now, I recommend that you watch this series if you haven't already and enjoy it, that's what it's there for.

I couldn't help feeling for the older Florence in the film too. Was she crying because she loved him, and spent her whole life loving him, or was she crying because she was forced to remember the humiliation of this moment she must relive because he finally implanted himself in the audience right in front of her like a selfish git? Was she regretting her own immaturity at the time, or her naivete at marrying someone when she was clearly not ready? It's with Florence my true sympathies lie - as a woman, I am only frustrated and angry somewhat at the men who only think with their penises and cannot act - or choose not to act - from their heart as the wild primal beating of desire overcomes their humanity.

The series displays several sensitive messages. The first is the value of life and the consideration of the economic position of each of the characters. The second message is associated with family breakdown, parental neglect and lack of affection. The third is linked to decisions at an early age. I refer to the arguments sustained by each of the characters and their actions and behavior.

Rhaenyra is a character that must grow beyond her father's Utopias, that is, what Otto Hightower has caused by influencing everything is inevitable, I remember that Otto mentioned that if Rhaenyra ruled there would be war and he was wrong, it is shown that he only manipulated everything because the war has reached them all.

The supporting cast is also a good one with James Marsden as Miles Knox does a good job in the role of the estranged father and son, Al Pacino as Xavier Crane the crime lord, is good but his character’s motive is not very clear throughout the movie, he is Knox friend but constantly reminds him to never trust him, not sure if that was just part of a inside joke they had, Marcia Gay Harden as Knox’s ex wife is wasted, I think there would have been more context that would attach multiple other situations across the movie

Another relevant thing about this series, is how it deals with adolescence... that confusing stage, and how each person goes through the process of self-discovery. The teenage characters, including Sam, are always learning about themselves and the world around them in general... The series does not fall into typical clichés, there is not for example that specific bully who just wants to do bad things, or bother... that although it happens, it is not represented here, but rather there are social or academic difficulties, which makes each character has its own growth arc, it is good to see when this gives development to these types of characters.

Although the film begins with the two friends, the plot gains strength with the entry on the scene of Catherine (an impeccable Jeanne Moreau) and the destinies of the three will intertwine in unexpected ways throughout the years in which love flows in all directions in that triangle. Catherine thinks that in love, the couple is not the ideal figure, because she recognizes herself incapable of loving a single person. You can say what you want about this character, but it cannot be denied that she acts according to her convictions.
