Maestro (2023): a disappointing attempt | un intento decepcionante

Finally, if a film lacks a good script, does it deserve to be nominated for Best Picture? For me the script is the heart of a story. The rest are additions and can enhance or destroy it, but without a good script there is no good movie. Let us remember that in this category between five and ten films can be nominated, but there don't necessarily have to be ten. I would have left it at nine candidates, I feel that all the others deserve to be there and Maestro doesn't, because yes, Cooper knows how to direct, he knows how to act and makeup helps him look different and try new things, but I think that he tried too hard and there are resources and ideas that didn't work well. I don't want to take away his merits, his directorial debut in A Star Is Born is a great debut and for some reason in the credits of Maestro Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Todd Phillip appear as producers along with Bradley Cooper himself, he undoubtedly has great talent and is still developing it, I think he's called to achieve great things (maybe he should try directing other actors without participating in the story), but I think the final result of this film is a little disappointing. I don't know if I would call it a complete failure, but perhaps a creative mistake or a failed attempt at some ideas that, although are risky, are not necessarily good ideas. How many of you have already seen it? Who thinks differently? I read you in the comments.

Film Review: La Habitación de las Maravillas - Una historia llena de esperanza y ganas de vivir.

I really liked the way they show how a mother would do anything to see her son well, despite having made mistakes and being aware that maybe if she had done it differently things might not have ended that way but we have no control over destiny or the things that will happen to us in life, we can only control how we react to those situations of stress or immense fear as it is to see a child on the verge of death. Thelma is an extremely strong woman who decides to fulfill every wish for her son, it made me very nostalgic to see how she did each of the things on her son's pre-death wish list, to see how she traveled to places outside her country to get an autograph from her son's favorite manga writer and also to see how she approached friends who shared a taste for skateboarding and decided to skateboard for him thus checking off one of the many things he wanted to do. It's a story that shows that a mother or father's love for their children can be bigger than any problem and that no matter what happens they will always be asking life for only good things to happen to us.

A man with a dark past and a father who wants to kill him / The Family Plan /

Lately, Mark Wahlberg is participating in comedy movies, where the ones I have seen so far have been very good, this one has a slight touch of being a family movie, but not enough to make us laugh out loud. The acting of each of the actors in the film have been good, the story keeps you from beginning to end and the action scenes are really amazing, the instinct of a man to defend his family is capable of doing amazing things.

Movie || La sociedad de la nieve 🎬 || The Snow Society 🎬

I confess I never heard of this story until now that it came out on Netflix, the story is amazing, as for the movie, the performances, the photos, everything was dramatized to perfection, the story has a narration that makes the movie even more interesting, it keeps you in the expectations from beginning to end. If you haven't seen it you can find it on Netflix I recommend it.

DRIVE | Movie Review 🎥

I can also highlight how Drive pays homage to classic cinema, taking references and similarities with other classic action movies, such as "Bullitt" (1968) for the chase scenes, "A bout de souffle" (1960) for the aesthetics and "The Driver" (1978) for the theme. Drive's aesthetics are strongly influenced by the film noir of the 40s and 50s. The film features a muted color palette, with a predominance of reds, blues and blacks, which creates a dark and melancholic atmosphere. Lighting also plays an important role, using chiaroscuro to create a sense of mystery and tension.

Rebel Moon || A Child of Fire (2023)

There is a saying that says that the enemy of your enemy is your friend, and this phrase will use very well Kora, who seeks support in the rebels who are against this empire called Mundomadre, visiting different planets in the galaxy to get them to join her, being her main objective to find General Titus (Djimon Hounsou), who has experience fighting against this army, in this search will meet Kai (Charlie Hunnam) a mercenary who hires to find General Titus and other warriors.

SUMMER STRIKE DRAMA REVIEW

In the era of the onslaught of science fiction, fantasy and complicated household dramas, Summer Strike comes like a medicine. A spectacle that can also be a nutritional intake for mental health for its audience. Spectacles with story lines that can make emotional support tables like this rarely get more attention. I also find it difficult to find similar themes.

Entergalactic is a beautifully animated movie

While Entergalactic does not revolutionize or deconstruct what it means to be a romcom, it is a warm and optimistic representation of everything that meeting your soulmate entails, presented from a perspective that is easy to identify with, and uses its animation style and the recurring use of psychedelic elements to enhance the most abstract aspects of love, in a positive and negative sense.

When Evil Lurks movie review

Also, the movie is disturbing because of how graphic it is, and as I mentioned before, it doesn’t exaggerate on it’s bloody scenes, and it doesn’t turn to classic jump scares as many other movies do, those which lost charm after being over used in different movies.

Einstein and the Bomb: Germany and Hitler, Venezuela and Maduro | Fim Review

The film is truly raw; there is stunning color and black and white, depicting the excesses of the worst human disasters of the 20th century. The plot, which turns out to be very short, i.e., about 76 minutes, clearly elucidates dramatic, tangible and abhorrent facts. This kind of film is very good in the midst of so much ignorance and depravity.

In the most beautiful month I invite you to see Sweet & Sour🎬❤️👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨// En el mes más bonito, te invito a ver Dulce y Amargo🎬❤️👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

If I have to mention two things, it is first the figure of Han Bo-Yeong, although we know that the third parties in the relationship are always latent, it doesn't seem to me that he had any kind of protagonism or I already knew where the plot was going, so I didn't like his performance and that the fool of Hiuk fell into his nets 🤣.
