What is this movie about?

Sin ánimos de hacer spoiler le englobaré de manera general la trama, la cual inicia con Sofía y su equipo de científicos en una expedición en el mar, mientras le hacen seguimiento a un tiburón llamado Lilith, el que por razones desconocidas parece haber mutado presentando una variación en su tamaño aumentando más de lo normal así como su nivel de agresividad, esta expedición no termina muy bien, quedando Sofía traumada por este hecho y después de tres años y haberle perdido la pista a este tiburón

Luego una activista ecologista protectora de los tiburones la contacta para informarle que Lilith sigue viva y se encuentra en el río Sena, demostrando que se ha adaptado a vivir en agua dulce de alguna manera, por lo que ambas inician un monitoreo en la zona tras lograr conectarse con su localizador, resultando ambas arrestadas por la policía, donde Adil toma el caso y decide trabajar junto a su equipo y Sofía para sacar a este tiburón del Sena, ya que está próximo a celebrarse en la ciudad un triatlón de los Juegos Olímpicos, donde el río Sena será precisamente el lugar donde se llevara a cabo esta competencia mundial, trabajando contra reloj para lograr su cometido, tarea que no será para nada fácil.

At this point I highlight the first aspect that jumps out when watching this film, which is the clear criticism of the repudiation that exists for the great pollution that exists in the seas and rivers, in this case the Seine River, which by the way gave much to talk about in the last Olympics in Paris, The result was that some of them had to be hospitalized for infections after having swum in these waters, because although it was implied by the authorities that they had managed to clean up the river, it was not entirely effective.

Another aspect that was pointed out was the fact of protecting the shark species, seeing for the first time in a shark movie where they are the good guys and man is the bad guy here, so a group of activists that protect the animals defending their rights is presented.

A este punto les señalo el primer aspecto que salta a la vista al ver esta película, que la crítica clara del repudio que existe por la gran contaminación que existen en los mares y ríos, en este caso se precisa el río Sena, el cual por cierto dio mucho que hablar en las pasadas Olimpiadas en París, por todas las denuncias que hicieron los mismos atletas participantes, resultando que algunos de ellos tuvieron que ser hospitalizados por presentar infecciones después de haber nadado en estas aguas, ya que a pesar de que se dio a entender por parte de las autoridades que se había logrado sanear el río, no fue del todo efectivo.

Otro aspecto que se puntualizó fue el hecho de proteger a la especie de escualos, viendo por primera vez en una película de tiburones donde ellos son los buenos y el hombre es el malo acá, por lo que se presenta un grupo de activistas que protegen los animales defendiendo sus derechos.

Como es sabido los Juegos Olímpicos representa mucho dinero para los países sedes, por lo que se presenta a la Alcaldesa de Paris Jade (Anne Marivin) en esta película reacia a suspender este evento por causa del tiburón sin importarle la seguridad de los participantes, y prefiere omitir esta situación, declarando ante los medios de comunicación que el río Sena se encuentra en un excelente estado y era perfectamente segura nada acá.
