4th Season of "The Boys"... Another carnival of inappropriateness.

Cinephiles are getting spoilt for choice at the moment, thanks to TV shows like The Boys and House of The Dragon which is hitting the airwaves at the moment. The final episode of the 4th season of The Boys was just released two days ago while the final episode of the 2nd season of House of The Dragons will get released next week Sunday.

I will start watching the latter two days before the release of the final episode. However, I've already finished the 4th season of The Boys and this post would be all about this show. For the record, The Boys is a superhero TV show that will blow your mind with the level of inappropriateness highlighted in the story, the language, the scenes, and the show as a whole.

The goryness is also at the extreme. So, if you usually lose your mind watching someone get obliterated into pieces on screen, I suggest you give a hard pass to this and watch something light. Haha.

This 4th season of the show felt like a build-up to the next season which would be the grand finale of the show. It's obvious that nothing good happens when Homelander flips the switch and we got to see that when he went back "Home" and turned the lab into a bloodbath after putting the scientists through a shit load of wild inappropriate stuff. Haha.

In the previous season, we saw the departure of Queen Maeve from the 7 after putting himself on the line to save everyone from Soldier Boy's blast. She lost her power from the blast and is assumed to be dead. But that was an opportunity for her to disappear and live a simple life with the love of her life. That's exactly what she did.

Starlight also left the 7 but was never prepared to disappear. Instead, she joined "The Boys" squad in their fight against wild superhumans. She had it rough this season especially when her horrible past and medical record were televised on national TV by firecracker. She also fell for the antics of a shapeshifter who took her shape and proposed to her finance.

Firecracker and Sister Sage were the two new additions made to the 7 tower. They both spiced up the inappropriateness projected in the show and The Deep never stopped messing around with his octopus. He's one on-screen character that has a punchable face. A-train on the other hand started his redemption arc while in the 7 tower and completely flipped towards the end of the season.

On the side of The Boys, Frenchie and Kimiko became an official tag team and raised the stakes in their relationship. This didn't come easy though. Ugly incidents from their past popped up and gave them several slaps on the face. Kimiko even lost a leg and got her face squashed at some point. Of course, she regenerated and is still kicking ass.

Hughie had the most depressing experience in this season of The Boys. This guy just couldn't get a rest from the first to the last episode. He lost his Dad in a very depressing way. His Mum came back with an unapologetic look after abandoning the family for over 20 years. He also got messed up by Tek Knight and almost got obliterated by Homelander.

Newman couldn't make it past this season after she got flawlessly torn apart by Billy Butcher. Seems like Bloody Marie of Gen V is the only surviving head popper in The Boys universe.

I'm hyped about what next season of the show will bring.
