Happiness is... | Netflix Movies Review
Sundays are a routine at home, and I always tend to watch a movie that is just to pass the time, these are the days where I completely turn off expectations and just relax my mind. So today I said, I will watch the first thing that catches my attention and here we are.
Happiness is. This movie caught my attention because of the title, because we all want to know what happiness is, and watch a movie where it seems that there are people achieving happiness, we will be there to see how that happens.
Los días domingos son una rutina de casa, y siempre acostumbro a ver una película que sea solamente para pasar el rato, son los días donde apago por completo las expectativas y solamente me dispongo a relajar la mente. Así que hoy dije, veré lo primero que me llame la atención y aquí estamos.
Happiness is. Esta película me llamó la atención por el título, porque todos queremos saber que es la felicidad, y ver una película donde parece que hay personas consiguiendo la felicidad, nosotros estaremos ahí para ver cómo sucede eso.
To give us a little insight into what it's about, we have a main character who is Princess, she is a woman who is about to turn 40 and wants to have a big party to celebrate that stage of her life, because for her turning 40 is celebrating all the successes she has achieved in this life.
Para enterarnos un poco de que va, tenemos a un personaje principal que es Princess, ella es una mujer que está próxima a cumplir 40 años y quiere hacer una gran fiesta para celebrar esa etapa de su vida, pues para ella cumplir 40 años es celebrar todos los éxitos que ha venido logrado en esta vida.
So we start with this, however, just after the first few minutes, everything changes and Princess no longer wanted a big party, this happened because her ex-boyfriend declined the invitation. Princess no longer felt so secure and confident of everything she had achieved because of this simple fact.
However, she tells her friend that she will cancel everything and go to her mother's vacation home, but her friend turns a deaf ear and decides to move the party to that house... And what we already know happens in movies, happened, everything went wrong.
Así que empezamos con esto, sin embargo apenas pasan los primeros minutos, todo cambia y pues Princess ya no quería una gran fiesta, esto sucedió porque su ex pareja le declinó la invitación. Princess, ya no se sentía tan segura y confiada de todo lo que había logrado por este simple hecho.
Sin embargo, ella le cuenta a su amiga que cancelará todo y se irá a la casa de vacaciones de su madre, pero su amiga hace oídos sordos y decide mudar la fiesta a esa casa... Y lo que ya sabemos que pasa en las películas, pasó, todo salió mal.

At first I wasn't really into this movie and it was kind of annoying, but I came to understand it. Even though they try to make the movie focused on Princess, there are actually more protagonists in this movie, and that was what was mainly bothering me because I felt like I was bouncing from one character to another. And you see, each character has a problem, so we're not just focusing on Princess's problem anymore, but also on the others. Every minute a new problem arises, the characters' attitudes escalate and at a certain point you think, what the hell, it's all a pretty strange mix, but until almost the end you really come to understand that the message that the movie leaves is that all these characters learned to manage their emotions through this union they had on a weekend and each emotion was validated and attended to at some point. In the end, they wanted to give a message like happiness is learning to love yourself, but I think that the message went somewhere else and taught us about emotional management.
Esta película al principio no me estaba gustando mucho y se me estaba haciendo como molesta, pero llegué a comprenderla. A pesar de que tratan de hacer la película enfocada en Princess realmente hay más protagonistas en esta película, y eso fue lo que principalmente me estaba molestando porque sentí que estaba rebotando de un personaje a otro. Y verán cada personaje tiene un problema, así que ya no nos estaríamos enfocando en el problema de Princess sino también con los otros, en cada minuto surge un problema nuevo, las actitudes de los personajes van escalando y en cierto punto uno piensa pero qué demonios, es todo una mezcla bastante extraña pero que hasta casi el final llegas a comprender que realmente el mensaje que deja la película, es que todos estos personajes aprendieron a gestionar sus emociones a través de esta unión que tuvieron en un fin de semana y cada emoción fue validada y atendida en algún punto. Al final quisieron dar un mensaje como que la felicidad es aprender amarte a ti misma pero yo creo que lo que el mensaje se fue a otro lado y nos enseñó sobre gestión emocional.

STOPConcuerdo! Los domingo deberian ser para relajarse, dedicarse tiempo a uno mismo y hacer lo que a uno le gusta, generalmente estoy trabajando, pero creo que cambiaré la rutina por ver una pelicula, hoy vi una y lo agradeci un monton, ahora voy a ver la que nos recomiendas.
