Hello movie lovers! I'm really getting back into watching movies these days, not on a daily basis but at least 2 movies a week and that's enough to get a mention on Hive. So, imagine you are in the middle of nowhere. Could you survive? Or what would be the motivation to keep you alive? Today's movie is called Nowhere.

My friend has a Netflix subscription so we often watch movies there. You can also watch Nowhere on Netflix. The movie genre is Drama, Survival and Thriller. They combined them all in a very good way.

You may encounter small spoilers from this part. Don't worry, even if you read this, you can still watch the movie and enjoy it because I won't talk about the majority part. The movie starts with two married people negotiating to escape to another country. Obviously they really want to do it because they even give their wedding rings for it. But since they do it illegally, you can imagine that it's not going to be an easy journey. They will be traveling in containers and the woman is pregnant. When you put all this together, it starts to make you think of something, doesn't it?

Now I'm going to talk about something I didn't like about the movie. Why are these people leaving their country? Why nothing is said about that in the movie. Are these immigrants? Are they unwanted people in their country? This is something that is not mentioned at the beginning of the movie or at the end of the movie and it's frustrating. Because nobody just leaves everything and leaves their country for no reason, especially when their wife is pregnant. I wish they had mentioned this even in a small part.

While they are in the containers, somehow the man and the woman are separated. Fortunately, they have their cell phones with them and they stay in touch. We know that after a while their batteries will run out, right? If you don't guess that, you've never watched a thriller or horror movie haha. It gets worse and the container is caught by the authorities. The people inside are executed, only the leading pregnant woman manages to hide, but is that a good thing or a bad thing? You will soon understand why I say that.

As they are sailing on the ocean, a storm breaks out and the container with the woman in it falls into the water. For those wondering where the title of the movie comes from, she is now trapped in a container in the middle of nowhere. And this is where the movie really starts. She has very little food, everything is more difficult because she is pregnant and of course she has no option to call for help because she is stuck in a container. On top of that, as time passes, the container starts to take on water. For me, this is where one of the absurdities of the movie comes into play. How can a container that takes on water not sink? Isn't that against physics? How come it's still floating on the water? We're talking about a container more than half full of water. Anyway, let's leave all that aside. How do you think she's going to get out of the middle of nowhere? Will she give birth in the water? What will she eat? Will she be able to communicate with anyone? You should definitely watch the movie to find out the answers to all these questions!

As for my thoughts on the movie, if you ignore the above nonsense, it is a very suspenseful movie. There are so many scenes that will turn you upside down, I was really surprised by some of them and I definitely don't regret watching the movie. Because the plot is different and original than other movies. Maybe it's because I've never seen a movie like this before lol. I give the movie 7.5 out of 10. I realized that I've been giving pretty high scores lately and that's what people say in the comments. I usually don't watch trailers, but check out the trailer and if you like the plot, watch this movie. It will not make you regret it.

Arkadaşımın Netflix aboneliği olduğu için sıklıkla oradaki filmleri izliyoruz. Nowhere'i siz de Netflix'ten izleyebilirsiniz. Filmin türü, Drama, Hayatta kalma ve Gerilim. Hepsini çok iyi bir şekilde harmanlamışlar.

Bu kısımdan itibaren küçük spoilerlar ile karşılaşabilirsiniz. Merak etmeyin bunu okusanız bile filmi izleyip hala zevk alabilirsiniz çünkü çoğunluk kısımdan bahsetmeyeceğim. Film evli iki kişinin başka bir ülkeye kaçmak için pazarlık yapmasıyla başlıyor. Belli ki bunu yapmayı çok istiyorlar çünkü bunun için evlilik yüzüklerini bile veriyorlar. Ama bunu kaçak yollardan yaptıkları için hiç kolay bir yolculuk olmayacağını tahmin edebilirsiniz. Konteynırlarda gidecekler ve üstelik kadın hamile. Bütün bunlar bir araya geldiğinde kafanızda bir şeyler canlanmaya başladı değil mi?

Şimdi film hakkında hoşuma gitmeyen bir şeyden bahsedeceğim. Bu insanlar neden ülkelerini terk ediyorlar? Neden filmde buna dair hiçbir şey söylenmiyor. Bunlar göçmenler mi? Bunlar ülkelerinin istenmeyen insanları mı? Bu ne filmin başında ne de filmin sonunda bahsedilmeyen bir şey ve sinir bozucu. Çünkü kimse durup dururken özellikle eşi hamileyken her şeyini bırakıp ülkesini terk etmez. Keşke bundan küçük bir kısımda da olsa bahsetselerdi.

Konteynırlarda giderlerken bir şekilde adam ve kadın ayrı düşüyor. Neyse ki yanlarında telefonları var ve iletişimde kalıyorlar. Bir süre sonra şarjlarının biteceğini biliyoruz değil mi? Bunu tahmin etmiyorsanız hiç gerilim ya da korku filmi izlememişsinizdir haha. Daha da kötüsü oluyor ve konteynır yetkililer tarafından yakalanıyor. İçindekiler infaz ediliyor, sadece başrolümüzdeki hamile kadın saklanmayı başarıyor ama bu iyi bir şey mi kötü bir şey mi? Niye böyle dediğimi yakında anlayacaksınız.

Okyanusta ilerlerken fırtına çıkıyor ve kadının içinde bulunduğu konteynır suya düşüyor. Filmin adının nereden geldiğini merak edenler varsa, kadın şu anda hiçliğin ortasında bir konteynırın içinde sıkışıp kalıyor. Film de asıl buradan sonra başlıyor. Yiyeceği çok az, hamile olduğu için her şey daha zor ve elbette konteynırın içinde sıkıştığı için yardım çağırma gibi bir seçeneği de yok. Üstüne üstlük zaman geçtikçe konteynır su almaya başlıyor. Bana göre filmdeki saçmalıklardan biri de burada devreye giriyor. Su alan bir konteynır nasıl batmaz? Bu fiziğe aykırı değil mi? Nasıl oluyor da hala suyun üzerinde yüzmeye devam ediyor? Yarısından fazlası suyla dolu bir konteynırdan bahsediyoruz. Her neyse, bunları bir kenara bırakalım. Sizce kadın bu hiçliğin ortasından nasıl kurtulacak? Suda doğum yapacak mı? Ne yiyecek? Birileriyle iletişime geçebilecek mi? Bütün bu soruların cevabını öğrenmek için filmi mutlaka izlemelisiniz!

Filme dair düşüncelerime gelecek olursak, yukarıdaki saçmalıkları göz ardı ederseniz oldukça gerilim dolu bir film. Sizi ters köşe yapacak çok fazla sahne var, ben bazılarına gerçekten çok şaşırdım ve filmi izlediğime kesinlikle pişman değilim. Çünkü konusu diğer filmlerden daha farklı ve özgün. Belki de ben daha önce bunun gibi bir film izlemediğim içindir lol. Filme 10 üzerinden 7.5 puan veriyorum. Son zamanlarda oldukça yüksek puanlar verdiğimi fark ettim ve yorumlarda insanlar da bunu söylüyor. Bu yüzden biraz kısıyorum. Ben genelde fragmanları izlemiyorum ancak siz fragmana bir göz atın ve konuyu beğenirseniz bu filmi izleyin. Sizi pişman etmeyecek.
