Reseña de la Película La Ballena [ESP/ENG]

Saludos amigos de Hive y de la comunidad, hoy voy a compartir con ustedes mi punto de vista referente a la película La Ballena, la cual es protagonizada por el actor Brendan Fraser, que había estado fuera de la cinematografía, y de la actuación y trayendo un nuevo resurgimiento de este excelente actor.

Greetings friends of Hive and the community, today I am going to share with you my point of view regarding the movie The Whale, which is starring the actor Brendan Fraser, who had been out of filmmaking, and acting and bringing a new resurgence of this excellent actor.

Cabe destacar que al ver el nombre de la película de La Ballena, lo relacione con el peso del personaje, pero resulta que está basada en una obra de Samuel D. Hunter, quien es el guionista, en su lucha por que tuvo que pasar con el problema de la obesidad. Esta película ganó dos premios Oscar, uno como el mejor actor Brendan Fraser y mejor maquillaje y peluquería, en donde el actor tuvo que aumentar de peso, y someterse a un extenuante maquillaje con una prótesis en el cuerpo para mostrar un peso de 270 kg, cuyo director fue Darren Aronofsky.

It is worth noting that when I saw the name of the movie The Whale, I related it to the weight of the character, but it turns out that it is based on a work of Samuel D. Hunter, who is the screenwriter, in his struggle that he had to go through with the problem of obesity. This film won two Oscars, one as the best actor Brendan Fraser and best makeup and hair, where the actor had to gain weight, and undergo a strenuous makeup with a prosthesis in the body to show a weight of 270 kg, whose director was Darren Aronofsky.

El director Darren Aronofsky, nos deja en “La Ballena” (2022), un drama que algunas personas padecen en muchos países, como es la lucha contra la obesidad, Charlie es un profesor universitario que imparte clases a distancia a un grupo de estudiantes, en donde cada uno muestra su imagen a través de la cámara Web y él como instructor no muestra su imagen con la excusa de que su cámara está dañada, esto se debe a que siente mucha pena de su extrema gordura debido a la obesidad, que no desea mostrar a los jóvenes que les imparte sus conocimientos.

The director Darren Aronofsky, leaves us in "The Whale" (2022), a drama that some people suffer in many countries, as is the fight against obesity, Charlie is a university professor who teaches distance learning to a group of students, where each one shows his image through the webcam and he as an instructor does not show his image with the excuse that his camera is damaged, this is because he feels very sorry for his extreme fatness due to obesity, which does not want to show the young people who imparts his knowledge.

En todas las escenas de la película, el ambiente que se muestra en su hogar, donde se observa un desorden en su espacio, que tiene que ver con la falta de movilidad de esta persona que padece de una fuerte obesidad, sino también sufre de mucha depresión, esto lo causo él mismo por querer comer en exceso motivado al desamor que causo la muerte de su pareja que era su estudiante, esto causo la ruptura de su matrimonio, separándose de su esposa, con una hija de corta edad.

In all the scenes of the film, the environment shown in his home, where there is a disorder in his space, which has to do with the lack of mobility of this person who suffers from severe obesity, but also suffers from a lot of depression, this was caused by himself for wanting to overeat motivated by the lack of love that caused the death of his partner who was his student, this caused the breakup of his marriage, separating from his wife, with a young daughter.

Por otro lado, recibe la visita de su hija, Ellie (Sadie Sink), después de 8 años, quien le reclama el por qué la abandono, pero resulta que fue su madre quien la alejo de su padre, debido a que era homosexual. En esta trama Charlie desea recobrar el amor de su hija, por lo cual le manifiesta que la ayudara a hacer sus tareas escolares y también le pagaría para que lo acompañara en su casa.

On the other hand, he receives a visit from his daughter, Ellie (Sadie Sink), after 8 years, who asks him why he abandoned her, but it turns out that it was her mother who took her away from her father, because he was gay. In this plot Charlie wants to regain his daughter's love, so he tells her that he will help her to do her homework and also pay her to accompany him at home.

Esta película destaca una fuerte crítica a la discriminación dentro de la sociedad, además del manejo del sistema de salud, que es totalmente privado, en donde las personas que desean beneficiarse y deben de pagar altas sumas para poder tener una buena salud. A pesar de que Charlie manifiesta que no puede ir al hospital por no tener dinero para cubrir sus gastos de salud, resulta que más adelante si tiene como sufragar sus gastos con una alta suma de dinero que había ahorrado, pero él quiere que ese dinero le sea otorgado a su hija para asegurarle su futuro.

This film highlights a strong criticism of discrimination within society, in addition to the management of the health system, which is totally private, where people who wish to benefit and must pay high sums to be able to have good health. Although Charlie states that he cannot go to the hospital because he has no money to cover his health expenses, it turns out that later on he can pay for his expenses with a large sum of money he had saved, but he wants that money to be given to his daughter to ensure her future.

Cabe resaltar que Charlie a pesar que sufre de mucha tristeza, y depresión desean recuperar el amor de su hija y le pide perdón a su esposa por haber abandonado. Esta película aborda una reflexión de que debemos aceptarnos nosotros mismo como somos pero si la vida está en peligro como el caso de Charlie, con una alimentación excesiva, tenemos que tomar acciones para poder vivir y no afectar a las personas que nos rodean y amamos.

It should be noted that Charlie, despite suffering from sadness and depression, wants to regain his daughter's love and apologizes to his wife for having abandoned him. This film is a reflection that we must accept ourselves as we are but if life is in danger as in the case of Charlie, with excessive food, we must take action to live and not affect the people around us and we love.

Para finalizar la recomiendo 100 porciento, porque es una gran película, con una excelente actuación de Brendan Fraser.

To conclude I recommend it 100 percent, because it is a great movie, with an excellent performance by Brendan Fraser.
