Plot
This production shows how a group of teenagers who were in a bad time and in a bad place, ended up paying for the crime committed by someone else.

I recommend this series. Although I have a hard time watching this kind of productions, I think it is very important to spread this message.
I feel quite helpless when I see these stories, even more when they are based on true stories, but it is essential to know that discrimination still exists, and although many people deny it, there are subtle messages that indicate that it is there, latent, ready to attack. And we have seen in not so distant years the manifestation of this, we have seen discrimination in action.
Being able to know a story like this can help to raise awareness, to see how people's lives can be deprived, limited, by a society and a legal system that chooses to look at the surface, when the background is much deeper and more delicate.
In the end in this story the culprit was not any of these boys, and luckily that is something that ends up coming to light, because in the system there are some people who want to make things right and act justly. However, those lives were already ruined, at least for a good amount of time. The stigmatization was incarnated and gone through by these kids, and the trauma has already been generated.
Because these stories, which tell us about a group, we have to know that they do not only have repercussions on 5, 10, 20 people, they have repercussions on the whole community, generating a collective imaginary, a collective trauma, a collective fear.
The world seems to be evolving in some aspects, while devolving in others. In a present where we still have to cultivate a sense of justice, sharing these realities, I repeat, is key.

Recomiendo esta serie. Aunque me cuesta mucho ver este tipo de producciones, creo que es bien importante que se difunda este mensaje.
Siento bastante impotencia cuando veo estas historias, más aun cuando son basadas en historias reales, pero es fundamental saber que la discriminación todavía existe, y aunque muchas personas lo nieguen, hay mensajes sutiles que indican que ahí está, latente, lista para atacar. Y hemos visto en años no tan lejano la manifestación de esto, hemos visto la discriminación en acción.
El poder conocer una historia como esta puede colaborar a la toma de conciencia, el ver cómo la vida de personas puede verse privada, limitada, por una sociedad y un sistema legal que elige mirar la superficie, cuando el trasfondo es mucho más profundo y delicado.
Al final en esta historia el culpable no era ninguno de estos chicos, y por suerte eso es algo que termina saliendo a la luz, porque en el sistema hay algunas personas que desean hacer las cosas bien y actuar con justicia. Sin embargo, esas vidas ya fueron arruinadas, al menos por una buena cantidad de tiempo. La estigmatización fue encarnada y atravesada por estos chicos, y el trauma ya fue generado.
Porque estas historias, que nos hablan de un grupo, tenemos que saber que no repercuten solamente en 5, 10, 20 personas, repercuten en toda la comunidad, generando un imaginario colectivo, un trauma colectivo, un temor colectivo.
El mundo parece estar evolucionando en algunos aspectos, mientras involuciona en otros. En un presente en donde todavía tenemos que cultivar el sentido de justicia, compartir estas realidades, repito, es clave.

Es increíble lo que puede originar la discriminación y el racismo. No he oído hablar sobre el caso, pero si leí una historia relacionada a un muchacho afroamericano que fue condenado a muerte por algo similar. Es bastante triste. Tengo pausada mi lista de series pendientes pero anotaré esta. Este tema siempre ha llamado mi atención. A pesar de que estamos en épocas distintas, todavía hay rastros de esos tratos injustos.

Está super interesante la serie de tu post, yo al igual que tu suelo ser bastante sensible con estos temas y se me hace dificil ver tanta injusticia, pero es algo que actualmente aún está latente, por tal razón creo que es necesario transmitir un poco de los hechos que se han vivido por tantos años y aún hoy persisten. Definitivamente voy a darle una oportunidad.
