Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Review
I don't know about you but i grew up watching One Piece, Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Dragonball, Naruto and Bleach. In fact, Bleach was one of my favorites among the others. Raw fights, unique powers and characters and awesome animation for that era. I felt quite sad after it stopped airing. Also note that back in the day a lot of the popular Anime didn't have seasons.
That meant that each week we were able to watch a new episode and occasionally we might have a filer or a week-month break. It wasn't like today that we have a 12 or 24 episodes season and then we wait 1-3 years for the next one. Now after many many years, Bleach aired again with the final arc in 2022 and continues until now with the whole season thing.
Plot
The final Arc of Bleach comes with a final war that starts in the Soul Society. Basically, some Quincies have actually survived and now after many years of planning, they come back again in order to take revenge and kill the Soul King.
Ofc everyone will try to fight them and also Ichigo with the crew will return once again to protect the soul society and in general the balance of the world. Also, we get to see some of our favorite characters returning as well like Grimmjow for example.
What i Liked and what i Didn't
Now even though i am a huge fan of Bleach i will be dead honest about what i liked and what i didn't about the new seasons. To begin with some positivity i really liked the fact that we get to see the ending in the form of anime and not just the manga. So the nostalgia hits hard in that aspect. Also, the animation is freaking great, and i mean really really great. Now let's start with the negatives.
First of all the whole season thing is ridiculous, we have 36 episodes so far that we watched in 2 years, that's a lot if you ask me. Now to tell you the truth i really don't like that arc and i say this having read the manga as well so it has nothing to do with the anime itself.
Ichigo reached a quite OP level and now he is basically useless. Also, basically all of the Captains are useless. The difference in powers is one a whole other level. At the same time everything feels quite rushed. We were introduced to some people that are stronger that the Captains with extremely overpowered powers and soon enough they fall like leaves.
Also, the battles feel a bit monotonous if you ask me. It's too fast again just to end this thing. Each and every battle could be way longer and by doing so everyone would feel more attached to the characters. If you check the battles on the old Bleach either in manga or as anime, they will last for many episodes/chapters. Here in 1-2 episodes, every battle has ended.
Honestly speaking i just watch it for the animation, as i have read the manga .In general, the final arc is rushed in my opinion, some many like it or don't even think about but i beg to differ. Thus, for me, Bleach is still one of my favorite anime but with a disappointing final Arc.
he escuchado de este anime pero no me había llevado la atención, se ve interesante
I've heard of this anime but it hasn't caught my attention, it looks interesting.
I didn't finish reading your review to avoid eating any spoilers xd.
Bleach is a series I have on my to watch list. I remember my brother watching it while I was watching Fullmetal Alchemist.
Anyway, I want to give Bleach a chance. Without knowing, it has a good impression.
Greetings!
