Considerations
The film Le Mans '66 was released in 2019, lasts about 150 minutes and the director is James Mangold.
Among his past successes are When Love Burns the Soul and That Train to Yuma.
With Le Mans '66 James Mangold receives a nomination for the 2020 Oscars in the best film category.

The film describes the period in the 1960s when Ford began to think about the sporting world. The goal at the time was to beat Ferrari in one of the most famous races in the world, Le Mans.

Personal considerations
The film is gripping both in the first part and in the second part.
In the first part there is less action as the plan that Henry Ford II approved to introduce Ford into the world of sports competitions is described. The event was told in detail, also mentioning the various Ford figures of the time who managed this relaunch plan for Ford.
In the second part there is the action, the racing with the cars of that era.

The film never tires and the historical reconstruction of both Ford's relaunch plan and the race that took place at Le Mans in 1966 keep the viewer's attention high.

What this film leaves the viewer with
The FORD GT 40
This film raises awareness of the project that developed around the Ford GT 40. A very important sports car that was designed as a rival to Ferrari in endurance racing. The whole project was seen as a very difficult, almost impossible undertaking, but after countless efforts, it succeeded.
Carroll Shelby
Caroll Shelby was an American racing driver and entrepreneur, in the film he is played by Matt Damon. The film introduces the whole world to the figure of this important founder of Shelby Automobiles.
Ken Miles
Despite being a fan of the racing world, I didn't know this car driver well. Seeing the film I understood the importance that Miles had in the world of racing and why in 2001 he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. The film brings to light the exploits of this pilot.

Conclusion
Le Mans '66 is the historical reconstruction of a race that was more than one of the most important races in the world, but marked the historic event of Ford's entry into the world of racing with the FORD GT 40.

Considerazioni
Il fil Le Mans '66 è stato rilasciato nel 2019, dura circa 150 minuti ed il regista è James Mangold.
Tra i suoi successi del passato c'è Quando l'amore brucia l'anima e Quel treno per Yuma.
Con Le Mans '66 James Mangold riceve la nomination agli Oscar 2020 nella categoria miglior film.

Il film descrive il periodo degli anni 60 in cui la Ford ha iniziato a pensare al mondo sportivo. L'obiettivo dell'epoca era battere la Ferrari in una delle corse più famose al mondo, Le Mans.

Considerazioni personali
Il film è avvincente sia nella prima parte che nella seconda parte.
Nella prima parte c'è meno azione in quanto viene descritto il piano che approvò Henry Ford II per introdurre la Ford nel mondo delle competizioni sportive. L'evento è stato raccontato in maniera dettagliata citando anche i vari personaggi Ford dell'epoca che gestirono questo piano di rilancio per la Ford.
Nella seconda parte c'è l'azione, la corsa con le auto di quell'epoca.

Il film non stanca mai e la ricostruzione storica sia del piano di rilancio della Ford che la corsa avvenuta a Le Mans nel 1966 tengono alta l'attenzione dello spettatore.

Cosa lascia allo spettatore questo film
La FORD GT 40
Questo film fa conoscere meglio il progetto che si sviluppò intorno alla Ford GT 40. Un’autovettura sportiva molto importante che fu pensata come rivale della Ferrari nelle gare di durata. Tutto il progetto era visto come un ’impresa molto dura, quasi impossibile, ma dopo innumerevoli sforzi, riuscì.
Carroll Shelby
Caroll Shelby fu un pilota automobilistico e un imprenditore statunitense, nel film è interpretato da Matt Damon. Il film fa conoscere a tutto il mondo la figura di questo importante personaggio fondatore della Shelby Automobiles.
Ken Miles
Pur essendo un appassionato del mondo delle corse non conoscevo bene questo pilota automobilistico. Vedendo il film ho capito l’importanza che Miles ha avuto nel mondo delle corse e perchè nel 2001 è stato inserito nella Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. Il film riporta alla luce le imprese di questo pilota.

Conclusione
Le Mans '66 è la ricostruzione storica di una gara che era di più di una delle gare più importanti del mondo, ma segnò l'evento storico dell'ingresso della Ford nel mondo delle corse con la FORD GT 40.
