I'd vote for marketing on other chains. It's not easy to convert a non-coiner into an NFT gamer, regardless their passion for gaming. The on-chain people already have the background we need to bring them into the game, and eventually onboard them to Hive.

I think Snaps could be a way to encourage this as people do engage with it. I have done the #FollowFriday for years with a similar aim. I see certain people complain about the lack of engagement, but it varies. The community is still small.

I believe that everybody can do small form content but not many are capable of writing 500 words posts. Both have their place and I think it's also good to reward short form.
Engagement is what keeps people on a platform. You post something and if people interact with you, it's what makes you come back to check on your post.
People tend not to take the time to read through real blog posts. I understand that and I think that we shouldn't consider short form content as lesser quality content.

I'd vote for marketing on other chains. It's not easy to convert a non-coiner into an NFT gamer, regardless their passion for gaming. The on-chain people already have the background we need to bring them into the game, and eventually onboard them to Hive.

We don't have that many pro musicians on Hive, but he has said that he likes blockchain. We have to encourage people like him.
Perhaps a dedicated platform oriented to music/podcasts would break the ice. However, there's not the audience for it yet.
Which is a struggle of Hive in general. The keen thing on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or anywhere alse, is not that 1% of impactful creators and influencers, it's the 99% of people who are rather audience, sharing very little, but consuming a lot.
Every single one of us is a creator, though, and we kinda lack time to follow :)
I consume too. I get a lot of entertainment from Hive as I do not do Twtr, Insta etc
I thrive to consume. However, look how little many people comment, how little they care about content of the others. That also applies for many leading earners.
I think Snaps could be a way to encourage this as people do engage with it. I have done the #FollowFriday for years with a similar aim. I see certain people complain about the lack of engagement, but it varies. The community is still small.

Would that attract bots again? The boom was bot-driven, and it seems the game is not truly entertaining for most people.
Nothing is finalized yet. The community may not want bots again. There are many changes coming to gameplay with appeal to different types of players. @splinterlands is on a strong path towards growth. I cannot say the same about Invennium yet.
Let's hope it is gonna get entertaining then. If people play it for money and not for fun, it's not a game. It's merely a side job in disguise.
Basically you are limited by the number of cards you have. It's an interesting concept but I wonder whether it will be used much.
The proposal will mainly benefit those who have a gigantic collection, so I ended up thinking it was cool.
It looks like Splinterlands is "reinventing" itself.

I think ten cents for a short term content of any kind is extemely cool. Just like $20 for a good post. And that seems perfectly fair to me.
If a snap generates a lot of interaction and engagement, I believe it would be great if it could earn 1 or 2 HBD.

Yes, it's a member of citrus family. It's popular in Japan or Korea so it can be Asian thing. Good thing is that it can be tolerant up to -10 degrees or even more.
