Well, in a nutshell it's a teamplay, play to earn game to "save the world".
The root behind the game is the use of a particular community governance consensus system ( #thematrix8solution ) which can facilitate co-ordinated actions (of small teams or even of masses of players) which have been agreed upon by majority of the players after all the players having taken part in the decision making process. The efficiency of this system would demonstrate to the individual players that it's better to work in teams, and necessary to continue to advance to higher levels.
As to the form of the game, there would be a "reception area" for new entrants to the game, like a large space ship and choices would be available as to which area of the game to join. These are called Cause Groups, some examples could be:
Health
Economics
Nutrition
Organic Farming
Gaming
Education
Governance
Save The Wales
Feed the World
Activism
Meditation
and many more.
When a player chooses which Cause Group to enter, he exits the reception area through his chosen portal and is transported to his Cause Group ship where he can begin to play. The play would involve learning stuff about the cause so he can make informed choices as to what to do next to advance, and getting together with seven others in an 8PAC (8 Players in Active Communication) would enable advancement.
Tokens would be issued for completing various tasks (such as passing a knowledge test, advancing to a higher level, recruiting new players, etc.). The actions and achievements made in the game could be mirrored in the real world in some cases, funded by the tokenomics of the system.
Do you know the Exode game on Hive?
It could be similar to that in a way, with the teamplay consensus added and major Cause Group portals initially defined, but players can create new Cause Groups depending on what they want to achieve.
This game has the potential to to solve many local and worldwide issues which could lead to abundance, peace and well being for humanity & Mother Gaia.
The working title is The Mother Game. It's a huge project and a team is required to bring it into being.

From what I understand from your graph, the activity would be from different accounts? So this way it's very close to leothreads. This means that if we have 10 people, leo has 15, but those 15 make a lot of posts and our 10 make a little less. That's interesting.

There really shouldn't be any form of upward limit to what a post can make. I don't see how Hive can grow if we're limited in this regard. Especially if the content type isn't even considered. Trending is full of people barely breaking $30 and getting downvoted.
Exactly, sometimes a person can't even get to $30 that often, so they try their hardest, do something incredible and achieve this feat, then a random account from outer space comes along and puts a DV on you. It's very frustrating.
The funny thing about this, is that even if you take into consideration a post that makes $30, they only receive 50% of that because 50% goes to the curators. So that $15 reward is actually getting downvoted. Not $30.
Yes, they still do! Sometimes people do the DV thinking about the total value, but forget that we only take 50% of the value. It's insane, that's why whenever I see someone talking about DV I say that it has to be used calmly, with a good analysis.
It makes sense as to why we don't see quality video content here so much. The time it takes to create and release, compared to the (let's be realistic and say a max of $40) rewards just isn't enough to justify it. Especially if there's costs of producing the videos.
I totally agree... I've tried to make a few videos here and there and the inleo shorts, but I've seen that I'm not good with videos, it's something more complex, there's a focus and care to be thought out and done efficiently.

You would be surprised at how poor that distribution is when you notice how many people that have almost never voted another post are making $40 every post and never get that same "distribution downvote" treatment.

Seeing downvotes is a negative in Hive Experience...no matter what the reason.
I had come to terms with the fact that there seemed to be a cap...then along came Hivefest posts...no cap...interesting....so the cap apparently does not apply across the board.
Dovnvotes, together with upvotes, are a valid mechanism to distribute a shared pool of rewards. When one post gets more, the second one gets less. Using downvotes, you can distribute the pool as you wish. There's negative in it.
That was not Bleujay's point.....I understand the validity of downvotes per Hive's policy....What I observed recently....was that HiveFest posts were allowed to exceed whatever the limit is...they were not downvoted.

Sometimes, when I choose a specific cover image for my posts on Peakd, the system doesn't take the chosen one and uses the first one instead. Does it happen to you either?
The only problem with Snaps is that it's so good my power goes down quickly. I'm also less likely to wait for my voting power to go up because I have poor self control. I feel almost like microblogging should have it's own token related to but separate from the main hive blog.
I've been voting a lot around here too, the VP goes down really fast, but I think that's it, it's the movement. The arrival of microblogs has made me want to try to increase my HP even more, the more I have, the lower my voting % can be, so we can vote more.
I was always trying to keep it to 80%, but with the arrival of snaps, there are days when it's been as high as 75%, I've been doing a lot of voting haha. I think the maximum limit is now 70%

I'd say it depends on how they ended up broke. Someone broke because of gambling will probably still lose with crypto. But I do agree with you. I was living paycheck-to-paycheck when Steem released. Because of my efforts on Steem, I was able to pay off a car loan early and save.

She actually uses it everyday, especially in the winter when she can't go outside. I originally bought it for our dog but he's afraid of it. The cat took to it right away. Luckily we have gotten a lot of use out of it.

In The Netherlands deposit on tin cans eas recently introduced (we did have it for glass and plastic bottles for years).

The buffalo was in the water when I was passing by the road. The extreme heat and sun were unbearable for the buffalo. The owner of the buffalo was taking it to the field to graze when it fell into the water. I then thought I should take some photos of the buffalo.
Another colour burst into life! Such a delight. Plus I'm now swapping some bulbs with someone in town for yet another colour... Trading irises is a thing!

From what I understand from your graph, the activity would be from different accounts? So this way it's very close to leothreads. This means that if we have 10 people, leo has 15, but those 15 make a lot of posts and our 10 make a little less. That's interesting.
I mean ...it's not really a competition on who has more posts/accounts. On Hive everyone is entitled to use the platform they prefer.
But I've seen the chart based on total number of posts and thought it could have been better to look at the number of unique accounts.

My DJI Mini 2 is starting to feel like it is showing its age now. And that new DJI Air 3S looks incredibly enticing...
Still, the Mini 2 is chugging along and still impresses me with what I can do with it.
I like DJIs 😉 have Osmo Pocket 2 and I’m enjoying it.
Their products are genuinely top of the line. Incredible tools in pretty much everything they throw out.

They want to improve the gaming experience and allow the community to enjoy the official game without being paid to win as in the past, when you got to a point where you had to stop playing because you couldn't compete even close with players who bought clothes.

I've seen this account running around downvoting posts that get higher rewards than usual, but it's such a stain on the platform. Why should there be a "hard cap" on what people earn here? I don't think people realise how much this limits Hive's potential. Anyway, fuck them.
I agree with you, if the person has made a really nice post or created something incredible to share, why limit it? DV should be used more consciously in my opinion, with more care and analysis of the scenario.
There really shouldn't be any form of upward limit to what a post can make. I don't see how Hive can grow if we're limited in this regard. Especially if the content type isn't even considered. Trending is full of people barely breaking $30 and getting downvoted.
Exactly, sometimes a person can't even get to $30 that often, so they try their hardest, do something incredible and achieve this feat, then a random account from outer space comes along and puts a DV on you. It's very frustrating.
The funny thing about this, is that even if you take into consideration a post that makes $30, they only receive 50% of that because 50% goes to the curators. So that $15 reward is actually getting downvoted. Not $30.
Yes, they still do! Sometimes people do the DV thinking about the total value, but forget that we only take 50% of the value. It's insane, that's why whenever I see someone talking about DV I say that it has to be used calmly, with a good analysis.
It makes sense as to why we don't see quality video content here so much. The time it takes to create and release, compared to the (let's be realistic and say a max of $40) rewards just isn't enough to justify it. Especially if there's costs of producing the videos.
I totally agree... I've tried to make a few videos here and there and the inleo shorts, but I've seen that I'm not good with videos, it's something more complex, there's a focus and care to be thought out and done efficiently.

To distribute that pool
And also counter abuse
You would be surprised at how poor that distribution is when you notice how many people that have almost never voted another post are making $40 every post and never get that same "distribution downvote" treatment.

That's why we chose to put time, money, effort into more self regulation
But the community has not supported us, instead often called for abolishing downvoting and therefore the self regulation mechanism all together.

Seeing downvotes is a negative in Hive Experience...no matter what the reason.
I had come to terms with the fact that there seemed to be a cap...then along came Hivefest posts...no cap...interesting....so the cap apparently does not apply across the board.
Dovnvotes, together with upvotes, are a valid mechanism to distribute a shared pool of rewards. When one post gets more, the second one gets less. Using downvotes, you can distribute the pool as you wish. There's negative in it.
That was not Bleujay's point.....I understand the validity of downvotes per Hive's policy....What I observed recently....was that HiveFest posts were allowed to exceed whatever the limit is...they were not downvoted.
Maybe it's because the guy downvoting other posts finds them valuable?
That sounds like an arbitrary system....rather than the use of a set policy...which comes across as unfair. Hiver users can understand a set policy more so than someone's fancy of the moment. Thank you for your reply. Regards.

The only problem with Snaps is that it's so good my power goes down quickly. I'm also less likely to wait for my voting power to go up because I have poor self control. I feel almost like microblogging should have it's own token related to but separate from the main hive blog.
Well, you can always vote smaller percentages.
Yes, I've now changed my approach to voting for that reason, but I still feel something doesn't quite work. I guess we'll solve the issues as we go.
I've been voting a lot around here too, the VP goes down really fast, but I think that's it, it's the movement. The arrival of microblogs has made me want to try to increase my HP even more, the more I have, the lower my voting % can be, so we can vote more.

Northern Alberta is a bit more humid than southern; but nowhere near the rain as Vancouver. Almost perfect weather from May to mid-October. Still pretty nice now but colder. I think Jan, February and March are pretty cold though.

PWA technology seems to work fine with Android, but I like more native as a matter of choice.
That’s fair, native app experience is generally better. The downside for developers is needing to pass the App Store review process.
What would it have that using chrome on mobile wouldn't have. Do you imagine it would just remove the other things you can do on PeakD on mobile? And focus just on snaps? Or what else would it do?

If you're a broke Joe Schmo like myself, why would someone NOT be interested in crypto? Worried about going... more broke? LOL.
I mean, there is the potential for that. But buying $20 worth of crypto per week has a much better chance of paying you back than coffee and junk food.
I am not suggesting to not pay your bills. But if you're in an endless cycle of paycheck to paycheck and no real progress, crypto seems like a no brainer. Could not possibly make a sensible broke person more broke.
I'd say it depends on how they ended up broke. Someone broke because of gambling will probably still lose with crypto. But I do agree with you. I was living paycheck-to-paycheck when Steem released. Because of my efforts on Steem, I was able to pay off a car loan early and save.
Yeah I suppose you could say the same about a drug addict. Besides these somewhat rare exceptions, crypto is great for most average Joe Schmoes. Happy to hear crypto has helped you along the way!
I haven't put a penny of government funny money into crypto.

She actually uses it everyday, especially in the winter when she can't go outside. I originally bought it for our dog but he's afraid of it. The cat took to it right away. Luckily we have gotten a lot of use out of it.

Yeah it's not a TCG in that sense, the cards are just holders for your creatures. You release them from the card when you enter a battle and they go right back in after :)

After I discovered the tokens that focus on dividends, I set out to accumulate and acquire wealth. Of course, actively participating in the community and holding tokens also helps, but in the future I'll be happy to have a source of passive income here.
With all of the possible passive investment schemes in crypto, I think cryptocurrency can be a good option, especially if you have enough capital to generate good returns.
I'm investing little by little, each week I buy a fixed number of tokens such as EDS, DBOND, RUG and ARMERO. I'm already making a good amount of money each week, over a 7-day period, it looks like this:
28/09 to 04/10 = 6.406
5/10 to 11/10 = 7.533
12/10 to 18/10 = 8.052
Perfect way to save money for my kids future, as a hedge against inflation, hodl it is!

Yeah I'm surprised not more countries do this, they basically have consumers pay a premium for the bottle initially, then you can recycle it for $.20 instead of throwing it in the general trashcan.

In The Netherlands deposit on tin cans eas recently introduced (we did have it for glass and plastic bottles for years).
In the cities homeless people started emptying trashcan to find deposit. Now most tradh cans have a seperate holder for cans.
nobody uses them 😆 I'm collecting cans and bottles as a sport, only found 2 bottles in one since they were installed lol
