Hive Power Up Day - December 1st 2024

The Hive Power Up Day (PUD) is taking place on the first day of every month and the next one will occur in a few days, on December 1st.

The Hive Power Up Day is a good opportunity to have fun while strengthening and powering up your account. HiveBuzz allows you to collect Power-bee badges if you participate in the Hive Power Up Day and you may win Hive Power delegation from the other sponsors of this initiative.

1. The Power-Bees levels

The more HIVE you power-up on Power Up Day, the bigger your power-bee.

And here is how the levels are distributed:

Level 1 - Power up at least 10 HIVE
Level 2 - Power up at least 50 HIVE
Level 3 - Power up at least 100 HIVE
Level 4 - Power up at least 500 HIVE
Level 5 - Power up at least 1000 HIVE

2. The Power-Up Helper

The Power-Up Helper badge allows you to get one more badge when helping others to power-up.

TLDR; Get rewarded for the help you provide! By helping others to power up, you are showing everyone how mutual support is an important concept within the Hive community.

You can collect one PUH badge each year, which will generate a major leverage effect on the size of our delegations to you.

If you participate in the Power Up Month challenge too, the more PUH badge you have, the more important the Hive Power delegation you can receive from us. Those who have already obtained it in previous years therefore already have a significant advantage.

For more information on how to get the Power Up Helper badge, read this post.

How to get your Power Up Day badge?

  1. You will have to power-up HIVE on the 1st day of the month.

    IMPORTANT:
HiveBuzz will use UTC date and time to validate when your powered-up. Therefore, check your timezone and convert your local time to UTC before powering up! To help you not miss the moment when you can do your power-up, we added a countdown to our website.
  2. Power-up at least 10 HIVE. This will entitle you to the smallest power-bee. The more HIVE you power up, the bigger your power-bee!

  3. You don't have to power them up in one step. All the Hive powered up will be counted together at the end of the day.

  4. Strictly follow these rules and this badge will be on your board!

The badges will be distributed to all successful participants at the end of the Power Up Day.

Why participate in the Hive PUD

The first reason is to have fun and get a badge!

And here are some other great reasons to power-up your HIVE:

    • Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
    • Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
    • Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!

Finally, several amazing members are offering prizes that include delegations, Hive giveaways, and other cool stuff to the Hive PUD participants.

    Be ready and Power Up!

Few more days. It seems I am going to get all the HPUD badges of this year. I am feeling happy thinking it.

As a newbie, I look forward to getting strengthened. I can't wait!!

do these power up days incentivise people to power down just to power up again on a set day?

The Power Up Day (PUD) initiative is primarily designed to encourage users to increase their Hive Power.
It's possible that some users might consider powering down and then powering back up on a PUD to earn badges or participate in the event. While this could happen, we aim to reward genuine growth in Hive Power and community participation over time.

The first start of the month of increasing the capacity of the ID and getting a new base is very interesting. This is a great day for achieving the capacity of the ID. I wish everyone good luck as part of the Hive family. However, your contribution to today's Power Up Day celebration @hivebuzz sir is immense. All the Hive family is grateful for your hard work. I wish you and your family happiness, prosperity, ambition and peace from our Lord. Thank you sir.

Hello @arcange ..... I am back on Hive, but I have a problem powering-up my 637 Hive. I have no idea why my balance does not change. I´m about to publish my power-up post.

Sorry for the late reply. I saw you solved it with the help of @reiseamateur. Community at best! 👍

Hey, thanks for taking time to read my blog...I was lost after a long absence, but I am here now taking it slowly on blogging. There is still one thing about your last proposal that I still haven´t solved... I clicked on the support button using my active key, tried several times but it always said there is a "broadcast error"??? Another question is whether you are attending the Hivebuzz party in Graz? I would like join since it is only about 2 hours away from Vienna.

Welcome back to blogging!
Regarding the broadcast error, it might be an issue with the key or the API node you're using. Double-check that your active key is correct or try switching to another node.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the party in Graz.

Please can someone put me through, I don't understand how this thing's are .
Maybe a beneficiary can share little knowledge with us.

The Hive Power Up Day (PUD) is an event that takes place on the first day of each month. It's a community-driven initiative to encourage Hive users to power up their HIVE tokens, which means converting them into Hive Power. Hive Power gives you more influence on the platform in terms of voting and curation rewards.
