Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha: Finding Happiness in the Unexpected
I’m not really a fan of Korean drama but when I do decide to see one, I make sure to go in for the best. It’s funny how I’d have to make thorough research and watch many trailers before settling down to see a Korean drama. The whole reason behind this is because I don’t wish to stop watching the show half way because it doesn’t bring me any spark. But, this one did give me the spark and I did enjoy it to the every end.
What happens when a highly paid dentist decides to quit here job for some reasons and finds herself moving to a small community by the sea side to start a new life. All these happenings started when she visited the Gongjin village on her mothers birthday and from there, she decided it was time to start all over. With family trauma from her childhood and being unemployed now, there was a lot she had to deal with.
But Yoon Hye-Jin was determined to make things work even though her fellow doctors in the city made fun of her. With her best friend Pyo Mi-seoun by her side, she starts her small dental clinic in the Gongjin village which lacked such infrastructure. In her quest to help the people, she crosses paths with Hong Du-sik who was a graduate but ended up in Gongjin village because he desired to help his people. No one understood his reason for doing this but he was good at what he did. These two young individuals had their differences and often fought a lot.
Would this be the start of a life long love story, a love triangle or a long lasting hate relationship? You’d have to find out.
From the bottom of my heart, I’d rate this show a 10/10 as it’s the first Korean drama I’ve seen this year and it was more than I expected. The characters played their parts well and never failed to crack me up with laughter through every episode.
The plot was good because I didn’t know what to expect next and that kept me going episode after episode until I exhausted the whole show. This how thought me the importance of support and building good relationships. One other lesson I also took from this show was that, it’s never too la the to start all over. Sometimes, the best happens when you start afresh.
This series is one I’d recommend to Korean drama lovers. If you haven’t seen this, you should.
Do enjoy the rest of your day!
