After seeing a review of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter I suddenly remembered a bad movie I watched years ago. It's from Asylum, known for movies such as Alien vs Hunter, Sharknado film series and Mega Shark film series.

Plot Summary

In a parallel history, it's about President Abraham Lincoln leading a fight against zombie infected America. The movie shows Abe Lincoln's rise as America's president in the midst of a zombie outbreak and eventually his execution by John Wilkes Booth.

Characters

A lot of praise was heaped upon the lead actor, Bill Oberst, Jr for his portrayal of Lincoln. His delivery of the Gettysburg Address was moving and inspirational that for a moment I forgot I was watching a zombie movie.

Comments

I watched this movie with very low expectations. However, it was not as bad as I thought. It had it's entertaining moments and I was amazed by the the lead actor's performance. He was so good that some critics compared his performance to the great Daniel Day Lewis who also played Lincoln in the same year. If you have some free time, watch this movie for the laughs but it might surprise you too. The full movie is available if you search it on youtube.
