This is a science fiction adventure film directed by Joe Johnston, based on the comic book created by Dave Stevens, the story is set in 1930s Los Angeles and follows the adventures of a young pilot named Cliff Secord, played by Billy Campbell.
The plot begins when Cliff, a talented stunt pilot, finds a mysterious device in an abandoned hangar. This device turns out to be a jetpack, a propulsive suit that allows him to fly.
Upon discovering its potential, Cliff becomes the “Rocketeer,” a masked hero who fights crime and confronts a series of villains.
The story becomes complicated when Cliff becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving the movie industry and Nazi agents seeking to seize the jetpack for their own ends.
