This is an American action comedy film directed by Frank Coraci and starring Kevin James, who also co-wrote the screenplay.
The film combines humor, sports and an inspirational message about perseverance and fighting for what you believe in.
The story follows Scott Voss (played by Kevin James), a high school biology teacher who is faced with the difficult reality that his school is about to close due to financial problems.
As he feels helpless in the face of the situation, Scott realizes that he needs to do something to save his job and the future of his students. In an attempt to raise funds, he comes up with the idea of participating in mixed martial arts (MMA) fights to earn money.

Despite having no experience in the sport, Scott sets out on the adventure with the help of his friend and former fighter, the MMA trainer, who teaches him the techniques necessary to compete.
Throughout his training, Scott not only learns how to fight, but also discovers his own strength and determination. The film shows his evolution from an unmotivated teacher to a fighter determined to do whatever it takes to help his school.
In addition to the main plot, “Here Comes the Boom” also addresses themes such as friendship, dedication and the importance of believing in oneself.

Scott faces several challenges along the way, including the pressure of fighting, the lack of initial support from his peers and the need to balance his personal life with his newfound passion for MMA.
However, his perseverance and desire to inspire his students leads him to overcome obstacles and become a role model.
The film features a supporting cast that includes Salma Hayek as Scott's nurse and platonic love interest, as well as Henry Winkler as the school principal, who is initially skeptical of Scott's efforts.
The chemistry between the characters and the comedic situations that arise throughout the story add a light and entertaining touch to the narrative.

A very good movie, really. I'm a fan of the work this great actor does and I really enjoy his humor. But in this film he shines a lot, especially in the fights, especially at the end.
Good review.
