The Transformers; Movie review

I have to say that this is one of the best cinematic experiences I have ever had! It was spectacular from the beginning to the end of it, the adrenaline-pumping two and half hours just flew by, in seconds, the opening scene was gripping as was the overall visual effects, which was ground-breaking.

"Transformers" is an action sci fi movie that aired in 2007. It was all about a planet named Cybertron which was consumed by a civil war between two transformers, "The Autobots", heroic and the good guys led by Optimus Prime and "The Decepticons", the vengeful villians led by Megatron. They fought for a cube like object named "The AllSpark" which is the source of all Cybertronian life. The aim of the Autobots is to look for the AllSpark, to be used in rebuilding Cybertron, while the aim of the Decepticons was to use it in defeating the Autobots and controlling the universe. The AllSpark was found on earth by megatron and while on his journey to earth, he crash landed in the Artic circle where he was frozen.

A captain named Archibald Witwicky and his team of explorers came across the frozen Megatron in 1897. By accident, Captain Witwicky triggers Megatron's navigational system which imprinted the coordinates of the AllSpark’s location onto his glasses.

A secret United States government organization named "Sector 7", operating under secrecy, discovered and transported Megatron's frozen body and the Allspark cube to their hidden facility beneath the Hoover Dam.

In the present day, the Decepticons have landed on earth and takes the shape of vehicles on earth to disguise themselves. Meanwhile two Decepticons named "Scorponok" and "Blackout" attack a US military base in Qatar and try to hack into their secured network, in search of the location of Megatron and the AllSpark. During the fight, the US military discovers that the only way against these Decepticons is through the use of a high heat sabot rounds. After the two Decepticons failed, a different Decepticon named "Frenzy" invades Air Force One to try hacking again and in the process plants a virus which finds the map imprinted on Captain Witwicky’s glasses ywhose descendent, "Sam Witwicky" (Shia LaBouf) wants to sell on eBay. Two Decepticons begin tracking the location of Sam.

An Autobot named "Bumblebee" who was also on earth and disguised as a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro was bought by Sam while shopping for his first car. At night, bumblebee drives out of Sam’s house to transmit a signal to the rest of the Autobots who came to earth. Sam sees bumblebee transform into a robot mode and runs. In the process, Sam comes across a Decepticon who demanded for the eye glasses but he was rescued by bumblebee and a girl named "Mikaela" (Megan Fox) who was Sam’s crush. They leave to meet with other Autobots, Optimus Prime, Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet who landed on earth and also had taken the shape of earth vehicles. They all returned to Sam’s house to look for the glasses and then agents from Sector 7 arrive to arrest Sam and his crush and also capture bumblebee. One of the Decepticons disguises as a phone and secretly enters the dam where Megatron was kept and releases him. Locating the AllSpark, One of the decepticons named "Frenzy" sends a signal to other Decepticons.
Sam persuades sector 7 agents to release bumblebee so that he can get the AllSpark to Optimus Prime. Meanwhile, Frenzy uses a virus to shut down government communications but some hackers are able to establish a signal.
At the end, megatron was killed and the AllSpark was destroyed.

I love this movie for the intense action and astounding visual effects.This sumptuous action blockbuster movie, with such compelling stuff is a 10/10 for me.
