BrightBurn: A Review and How It Should Have Ended.
Hello movie lovers, I am sure many of us were brought up to love heroes, which means currently we love hero movies, but today I will be sharing with you a movie that is all about Anti-Hero. We all love Superman, right? How would you feel if there was a being that was the opposite of Superman? Now I am not talking about Doomsday but about a person who is just like Superman but stands against all the principles of Superman.
The name of this movie is "BrightBurn."

Brightburn is a unique twist on the superhero origin story, blending horror and science fiction elements. Directed by David Yarovesky and produced by James Gunn (The Man directing the new Superman), the film explores what might happen if a child with Superman-like powers were to embrace his darker impulses rather than become a hero.
The storyline was something you are familiar with. Poor parents who don't have a child of their own found a baby in a mysterious pod and decided to keep it and raise it as their own. Sound familiar, right?
I enjoyed this movie because we got to see the dark side of someone with extraordinary power, but I believe this movie would have done well as a series inside a single movie because it left the viewers wanting more without giving them anything since 2019.
One thing I love about the movie is the combination of horror and action in it. At first, we all thought the Mc (Brightburn) was going to be a good and helping child, but it turned out he was someone who took things personally.
You would ask, is this a reflection on the kind of parent that brought him up?
One thing about the Mc is that he can bleed. Since he can bleed and there is a material that can kill him, he decided to hide this fact using an airplane. How did it do that? You will need to watch it because I am trying to avoid spoilers in my review.
How it should have ended.
After covering his sin, what next? The producer left this to the viewers' imaginary sense. It shouldn't have been like that; I feel the ending wasn't satisfying.
Suggested Ending.
After his parents had discovered his weakness, knowing the kind of child they have, they should have reported all their findings to the authorities.
OR
The father should have done a good job taking him out. He knows nothing can hurt him, so why did he have to take him into the forest to shoot at him? He should have done things with a preconceived plan, making sure he would succeed and leaving a backup plan.
OR
Instead of ending with Brightburn's dominance, the movie could have explored the theme of choice and redemption. In the climax, Brightburn's mother, Tori, could have confronted him with a heartfelt plea, forcing him to grapple with his humanity. Perhaps Brightburn, even momentarily, could have shown a flicker of remorse, making him think twice about his future. This would leave the audience questioning whether evil is inherent or if even someone as powerful as Brightburn could be swayed by love and moral reasoning.
Well, that's my review. Since I am a lover of superhero movies, I would like the makers to give us a second part with a hero who can stop him from destroying the world.
Rating
The movie is an interesting movie with action-packed scenes, horror, suspense, and many more. I would give it a solid 7/10.

Never heard of this one, I watched the trailer and part in me wants to watch it but another part makes me want to skip. Thanks for bringing it to the attention though.
You should watch it
I’m sure you would enjoy it
This looks like a film II may have to see with someone because I feel it will toy with my mind a little bit, but I have no doubt that it will prove a pretty interesting watch. Nicely reviewed, Fash.
