Hello CINETV authors! I have got a surprise for you - read until the end to find out how you can be rewarded by participating in this survey!

What are you doing with your evergreen content?

CINETV has a really cool evergreen niche, and has produced some interesting TV and Movie reviews over the years by many different authors.

Did you know that its quite common on the internet to allow people to post your content on their site with attribution - as long as they link back to you?

So we see you have some nice content there, once monetized on HIVE. First survey question:

What are you doing with your old CINETV content? Do you ever link back to it?

On sites such as zerohedge, much of the content is reposted with attribution. This gives the authors 'exposure', and links back to their webpresence. Authors like Caitlin Johnstone give us an example, she says you can publish her content anywhere as long as you link back to her and give attribution.

Survey question two:

How do you feel about me (someone) republishing your content with attribution?

I mean, its past payout on HIVE, are you really using it anymore?

One important point here is that we would not be re-posting it on HIVE. We will not be accessing the reward pool at all, so don't expect any beneficiary rewards, because there will be none.

On to our third survey question:

Would you change the way you post if you knew that top quality evergreen content in this niche could generate more value over time past the post payout on HIVE?

This is a big deal. We have a really good idea, but one obstacle that we have noticed is that the quality of reviews on HIVE.... is a little lacking. Content is not written to be evergreen, it is written to get votes this week then forgotten forever. Would you make your movie and TV reviews a bit longer and in depth if you knew it could have long term value?

And finally:

What are some of your best CINETV posts that you think have lasting value?

Yes this survey will be rewarded. We will be giving out 10 HIVE SBI units to all participants, and if there are more than 20 respondants, one lucky winner chosen at random will take home 5 INCOME tokens, currently swappable for more than 70 HIVE. I recommend you hold them, but you do you.

I don't think I have posted anything on CineTV myself, but on hive I used to post on Threespeak, DTube and did live streams on VIMM.

  1. I very rarely link back to my old content, I mostly just watch it myself or with my friends very rarely for some nostalgia feeling
  2. I personally wouldn't mind someone re-using my content, especially if it's past payout on Hive. I would still be happy that for one someone actually saw/watched my content and secondly it would give promotion for my name too.
    (I would like the person re-using my content for their own purposes to refer me at the very least as the creator of the content).
  3. I don't think I would change my content if there was a way to get payouts after the 7 day threshold, my goals with posting are mostly to give value to the whole hive ecosystem rather to make 5-10 bucks off of it (even though it is nice xD)
  4. I'm sorry, I haven't used CineTV myself. I have heard about it and I've seen the CINE tokens in my hive-engine wallets moving back and forth sometimes, but never got to using the actual site.
    I should actually check it out as I like writing reviews, but my problem would be that I don't like watching Shows or series. I get that the site is mostly for TV Show and movie reviews, but are game reviews also welcomed ?

Yeah I just wanted to give some answers for the survey, even though it won't probably give you much since I'm not a user of CineTV.

  • I don't have much content on CINETV and so far I haven't done anything with it. I have sometimes tried to use my own content in other places like BULB but in the end you always have problems with whether it is plagiarism. And that is my own content.

  • I have no problem with my content being used. In fact I am against copyright. They are deeply unjust rights that only favor the elites.

  • Yes I would probably change the style but it would depend a lot on the motivation I had.

you should have included the URL to your evergreen site so that the community can evaluate it and determine if it is a site that the contributors to the community would wish to be associated with.

I have already asked twice to provide a URL for your site so I, and other interested parties can determine if it is worth getting involved in. As you have not provided it, then I can only assume that it is NOT worth getting involved with.

no where in the post does it mention 'my site', and no where in your two comments did you ever 'ask' a question - just demands based on your assumptions.

Whatever we do, we definitely would want to avoid people who are allergic to following directions.

Hello everyone. I must say it's been a while here.

Here is my response to the survey;

Truth be told I rarely do that but sometimes when I come across some of the past images used in my cinetv posts in my phone gallery, I do check back to read one or two of my past posts in the community.

How do you feel about me (someone) republishing your content with attribution?

Wow! It would be an honor for me. There are lots of people's posts to choose from especially from those who had been consistent in the community. So choosing to republish mine is something I will be very happy about.

Would you change the way you post if you knew that top quality evergreen content in this niche could generate more value over time past the post payout on HIVE?

Definitely! I would want to do better and also stay consistent knowing that there is an audience out there who might be reading my posts.
