Cine TV Community Spotlight #02
Hello and welcome to the 2ND edition of Cine TV Community Spotlight. In a bid to boost engagement and interaction in the community, as well as showcase the work of deserving authors, the Cine TV Spotlight Series has begun.
And it’s all simple. At the end of every week, we spotlight works by authors based on the content, originality, style and word count. It is not a contest but just our way of creating exposure for the works that we enjoyed throughout the week and to also boost exceptionally written content by our authors. Simply put, give it your best and have fun while at it, and then we showcase your work here.

Title: Big Mouth Series Review
What better way to surprise us viewers, in movies other than through mind blowing plot twists? I’ve experienced plot twists in the movies that’ll leave you shocked. Is it Vincenzo? Where the villain was disguised as a cutiepie. Or is it It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, where the villain was working with them all along? Or is it My Name? Where the villain was helping the main character find himself?

Title: A Stage of Twilight
But as much as I love the main character, he’s really the only good thing about this movie (and the sequels). The plot is really empty, if the character didn’t have his particular charisma, the movie wouldn’t be entertaining at all. All the other characters are just there for the sake of it, they’re flat, without any depth or charisma and the acting is really bland too. Also, everything about Art’s origin, the way he manifests himself, etc., seems very far-fetched and even pointless.

Title: The Witch
The director meticulously crafted a chronologically accurate work of art. To achieve this, he followed historical written accounts of witches, including diaries, practices, and court records. In particular, he turned to the writings of Cotton Mather, a Puritan minister who showed a keen interest in documenting witchcraft in 17th and 18th-century New England. Some scenes of the film are directly inspired by Mather’s work.

Title: Ready Or Not
The movie was very well paced to me. From the story of Helena, to the moment Grace realised that she was either to kill or be killed. It also contained quirky scenes of spontaneous lines that provoked laughter and overall, it bordered on a subject that is quite touchy. The involvement of powerful American families in the “illuminati”. Not a subject I am willing to discuss however, because it is absolutely none of my business.

Title: The Crow 1994 Vs 2024
The romance story stayed pretty much the same, very passionate and love-laden, only in this version they gave weight to the girl and how the romance itself came about. As for the look they gave Skarsgård as The Crow, I liked it but would have loved to have removed a few tattoos. I imagine this was done to give him that rebellious or bad-boy touch. But the truth is that for my taste they went a little too far with so many tattoos.

Unfortunately, slavery is well present in our modern day times. It has been estimated that there are more slaves right now in the 21st century than ever in history. Although it’s not the first time this scourge has been taken to the screen (Rambo: Last Blood, and others have touched the subject before), this is the movie that reached the most audience. It grossed $250 million against a budget of a $14.5 million. Mel Gibson defend it, and Donald Trump hosted a private screening at one of his golf courses.
