Freechain in the lead by votes- Festival No1
I just wanted to share that Freechain is right now in a comfortable lead ahead of other films in the category.
So far we have received 23 votes which constitutes 60% of total votes in the category. Not bad, but with the Hive community counting thousands we can always do better.
The 12 dollars for the ticket might be steep for some but ill still try and promote this a bit more for those that might not have heard that Freechain is available for the first time publicly.
This is not one of the biggest festivals but winning this gives us a chance to have the film shown in front of a live audience (in case judges vote for it too) in London. The festival organized by Pinewood studios that have produced films like Alien, James Bond, Batman...
Not a bad deal, if you ask me, showing up there.

Thats the hope. The festival account on twitter responded to one of my tweets meaning they have noticed the support we are getting.
If the judges give us the win as well that would be a major win for us. Going to London to promote the film in front of big industry players would be amazing.

23 votes is really low considering how big the community is, I hope we get more support from the community. I'll be watching it this weekend
12 dollars entry might be the biggest obstacle.
Particularly if you live in a low cost country with a high sales tax, that's a double whammy. I had to pay 20% VAT on top!

Well, I have some news on this. One good and one bad.
The good news is: I've already seen almost all the movies in the catalogue.
The bad news is: I couldn't and won't be able to vote for Freechain because I already voted for two others that I liked more. These two below:
And I just found out that I could no longer vote for Freechain, when I wanted to vote for this other movie as one of my favorites and I realized that only two votes are allowed.
So, I'm going to leave you this videotutorial here regarding the issue of the votes, lest the same thing as me happen to you and you are left without voting for Freechain.
Is there any reason why is paid for ? I already watched it but I've told few people from hive that is out and they've asked me why they suppose to pay for it if is funded by the community, also why you didn't think of some HBD / Hive gate ? Was it too difficult to manage it ?
Also, how come the movie isn't on IMDB ? There is a lot clever ideas how it could be pushed.
Also saying that 23 votes it's really low - but the price for the film it's pretty big consider that it could be a day rate for people from this less undeveloped countries.

Its the festival ticket price. There cant be a HBD/hive gate as im not the one setting the price for anything nor will I be asking for money for the community to view it.

Theres no need to push the film on Hive. Everybody is aware of it and I have enough reach. Wer looking for distributors and sales agents so if you have any contacts there let me know. The festival circuit will do its own work.

Never thought of Hive, I guess it definitely need to go outside Hive to have at least some brush on the other blockchain communities or in the traditional film industry, perhaps even sell it to some streaming platform ?

I watched the movie and tried to vote, but got an email stating the following:

I emailed them to see if something can be done, but I know there isn't much time left.
Seems voting is over. But dont worry. glad you watched the film but as I said before this this was just an opportunity for people to watch it and my hopes arent high because the judges if they dont like the film can decide not to let it through no matter how many votes we get. And looking at their previous winners their taste is a bit different than what freechain is.
