CineTv Contest: Dear ̶S̶a̶t̶a̶n̶ Santa.
I want to share this movie with you because I saw it about 3 days ago, based on a recommendation from a friend who also saw it previously. He told me that he saw it and was fascinated by the events reflected in this work of cinema.
Quiero compartir esta película con ustedes porque la vi hace unos 3 días, según una recomendación de un amigo que también la vio previamente, él me dijo que lo vio y quedó fascinado con las ocurrencias reflejadas en esta obra del cine.
Dear Santa is a fun new film starring the legendary Jack Black and distributed through the Paramount+ platform, where we meet Liam, a dyslexic boy who sends the wrong Christmas letter to the dark lord. With this initial theme we could already get a great idea of what the plot of the film would be.
Dear Santa es una nueva y divertida película protagonizada por el legendario Jack Black y distribuido a través de la plataforma de Paramount+, en donde conocemos a Liam, un niño disléxico que le envía una carta de navidad errónea al señor oscuro. Ya con este tema inicial nos podríamos hacer una gran idea sobre lo que sería la trama de la película.
One of the strong points is the comedy, it has a humor that anyone could understand. Even though I thought they would make the devil look like a good person, this was not the case, even so our two protagonists have a palpable relationship that is noticeable from their first scene together.
Uno de los puntos fuertes es la comedia, tiene un humor que cualquier persona podría entender. Por más que creí que harían ver al demonio como una buena persona esto no fue así, aun así nuestros 2 protagonistas llevan una relación palpable que se hace notar desde su primera escena juntos.
On the other hand, this film seeks to raise awareness about the issue of dyslexia as a learning difficulty that should not be a reason for mockery or contempt towards people who struggle every day with this neurological condition. As with family relationships, for example we see Liam, who has really grown up, and does not believe in Santa Claus, but writes this letter only so that his mother is happy, since the marital problems seem to be very serious and this action on his part makes her feel happy.
Por otro lado, en esta película se busca concienciar el tema de la dislexia como una dificultad del aprendizaje que no debe ser motivo de burla ni de menosprecio hacia las personas que luchan día a día con esta condición neurológica. Al igual que las relaciones familiares, por ejemplo vemos a Liam, quien realmente ya creció, y en sí no cree en Santa, pero, escribe dicha carta solamente para que su mamá sea feliz, ya que los problemas maritales aparentan ser muy grave y esa acción de su parte la hace sentir feliz.
In this movie we find an excellent cameo by Post Malone, we saw how this artist is controlled by Satan to satisfy Liam's whims, this was a very funny song where we see the famous artist being an incomprehensible fan of the little boy he doesn't even know.
En esta película encontramos un excelente cameo de Post Malone, vimos como este artista es controlado por Satan para satisfacer los caprichos de Liam, este fue un tema muy gracioso en donde vemos al famoso artista siendo un fanático incomprensible del pequeño que ni siquiera conoce.
As much as I thought this idea was original, while I was writing this post, I came across a review that talked about a 2014 Filipino movie directed by RC Delos Reyes and with the same plot called "Dear Satan", this blew my mind, so now I will dedicate myself to looking for it to watch it and maybe compare them.
Por más que pensé que esta idea era original, mientras escribía esta publicación, me encontré con una reseña que hablaba sobre una película filipina del 2014 dirigido por RC Delos Reyes y con la misma trama llamada "Dear Satan", esto me voló la cabeza, por lo que ahora me dedicaré a buscarla para verla y quizás compararlas.
I would recommend this movie to all comedy fans, and for the simple reason that Jack Black is the main character, without a doubt, this Christmas movie left me with good memories, I hope you like my review and if you haven't seen the movie you can go ahead and watch it, it will definitely leave you satisfied with this unique plot.
Recomendaría esta película a todos los fanáticos de la comedia, y por la sencilla razón de que es Jack Black el protagonista, sin duda, me dejó un buen recuerdo esta película navideña, espero les guste mi reseña y si no han visto la película pueden animarse a verla, sin duda te dejará satisfecho con esta trama sin igual.
