The fire inside "The Movie Review"
Am I the only one who loves watching movies that are based on a true life story?
I didn't know this particular one was actually a true life event because, unlike another movie that will notify you of the beginning and be like, "This movie is based on a true life story," this one didn't notify me anything. And do I love the fact that it didn't? "Well, I'm gonna say yes" because it kept me on my toes being glued to my screen as I watched every scene pass.
The plot
The movie tells the story of a young female boxer, "Claressa Shields," from Flint, Michigan. Ressa started her boxing career at the age of eleven when she went to the gym one evening and saw other kids her age boxing. She stood behind the ring and was noticed by the coach, who asked her to fight one of the kid boxers in the ring.
She did and with the words of affirmation from the coach, she came out victorious. After that event occurred, Tessa started coming for training like the others. And was the only female boxer among the others. It was rare to see women boxing, so Ressa's career started at a rough part but was later noticed by the world. I'm gonna leave you to watch the rest of the movie yourselves.
My review
First, I'm gonna start by saying I love it when my gender dominates the world. I love seeing women standing out. And you can say that's one major reason I loved this movie "I accept that fact".
The cast did an incredible job with the roles given; I could feel the passion in their eyes like they owned the story. "that's how it's supposed to be, right?" This movie made me realize that the environment you were born in didn't matter. I understand that we can't actually have the environment to be born, but we can pick and control the outcome of our lives. Ressa was looked down on because of the city she was from, but then the fire inside her said otherwise; it said, "I don't have to be born in a generally accepted environment before I can be what I want to be".
The Fire Inside is a beautifully crafted tribute to the woman who pushes boundaries and redefines what it means to be an athlete; the movie is about finding your voice even if it isn't heard by others, finding your inner strength, Tessa going through a lot from her family to be where she is today. When I look at the real ressa all I see is a woman with purpose and strength.
But then the end is really what I don't understand because I was expecting Ressa to come out from the struggle she was facing even after winning the gold medal in the Olympics, but rather, I was left in a little blurb about salary equality for women in the athletes.

Thanks for reading 🧡
The plot makes me remember this Wattpad story I read sometime in 2022. Maybe, the author got her inspiration from this movie,I don't know.
The female lead is such an amazing actress so it's definitely a must watch for me 😌.thanks for the review ☺️
