3 Working Days ~ My Review

If this has pooped up some years ago on my screen I would be like "Nope not Nollywood" I never liked the movies that were produced in my nation a few years ago, you can say reasons best known to me "Yeah I'm gonna accept that" but then I would like to share one reason and that is "poor actions" or the word fake would have been better. I know things I see on screen aren't always real but the thing is that there are some movies you'd watch that would give you that real factor. At some point, you are likely to forget that it's a movie, but my nation's movie industry back then was nothing to write home about.

Currently, the movie industry in my nation has improved to the point that I can sit for hours and spend my precious time with movies; these moment made me realize that, indeed, there is always room for growth. And I'm glad and proud of my nation's movie industry for the growth and improvement it has experienced and for those who put in the work to make this outcome in movies "Thank you."

I know this is becoming like an appreciation post but it isn't. Let me go back to what brought me here. So, my normal daily routine was going smoothly when I saw someone's review of this movie. The review was amazing, so I had to download the movie and see things for myself.

The plot

It tells the story of a young man, Onari, who holds up an entire bank, taking the staff and customers hostage with an ultimatum to process his delayed transaction because he urgently needs to pay a hospital to start his only child's surgery.

Unknown to him, his moves have disrupted the plans of a deadly gang that wants to attack the same bank.

My Review

The movie tells a story that captures the universal theme of fatherly love, desperation, and the sacrifice a father is willing to make to save his only child.

Onari's journey revealed the actual length a parent can go when his child's life hangs in the balance. There was a means to save the child, but it was blocked by different obstacles. Onari had to take it upon himself to destroy the obstacles in his way.

One thing that made me stay glued to finish this movie was the financial inaccessibility that was painted. There was a time in my nation when finances weren't accessed easily, you would have been in the queue on different lines to be able to have access to your money and when you finally got into the main banking hall, you'd hear "No network" Imagine you are desperately in need of money and went to the bank to get your hard earned money, you'd be faced with different story thereby leading you to not having access to your money.

This movie brought back all those memories, and I'm glad my nation's movie industry portrayed those tons like it is in the real world, and for that, I'm gonna give them a "kudos".

I liked this movie; I'm gonna give this movie a thumbs up and recommend it to those who are interested in watching it; I promise you it won't be a waste of time.
