I have always said that the Possessions and Exorcisms movies really are movies that aim to reaffirm faith, through a story, a well established enemy, special effects, a great fight and finally faith and religion saving the day. With this in mind I like to analyze and enjoy each film on this subject and I am excited to see when each element was treated with care and professionalism.

The Exorcist from 1973 is one of my favorite movies of all time and that is not just my opinion, since it is an absolute reference for good horror movies, after it I have always watched these types of movies about possessions and exorcism, and Really, most of them have been left in debt, but I can rescue several that, although they are very good, are still lagging behind The Exorcist from 1973.

The official Trailer has just come out, the first official Trailer of The Exorcist-Believer, which will be released in theaters in October of this year, and today I want to analyze what they let us see in it, and talk a little about my opinion or expectations. But first, I leave the Trailer below:

Dicen que una buena mentira empieza con algo de verdad, y creo que así empezó lo que nos muestran en El Exorcista- Creyente, ya que empieza planteando un tema real, un miedo real, la desaparición de dos niñas, vista desde el desespero de los padres, y a partir de ahí desarrollan la trama.

What a thrill to see this Trailer because I was aware of another Exorcist movie, but I did not have any expectations with that news since the previous sequels seemed very bad to me and I did not think that they were just going to continue spoiling that franchise. I just watched the Trailer today and couldn't help but make some time to post in the [Movies & Tv Shows](https://peakd.com/c/hive-166847/created) Community.

They say that a good lie begins with some truth, and I think that is how what they show us in The Exorcist-Believer began, since it begins by raising a real issue, a real fear, the disappearance of two girls, seen from the despair of the parents, and from there they develop the plot.

We can see the characters that will carry this story on their shoulders, which are two girls, friends who get lost for 3 days, one of them is called Katherine and she is very similar to the girl Regan from The Exorcist in 1973 and the other girl is Angela .

We can see the search and desperation of the girls' parents, Angela who has her father, and Khaterine both parents, going to the media, searching the woods, checking school security cameras, etc. The girls appear after 3 days, quite neglected, mistreated in their bodies, and have no knowledge of what happened to them; to later see them transform their faces, looks and behaviors that are already typical of possession.

One of the scenes in this Trailer that moved me a lot is the one that I present to you in the following image, since the girl Katherine is entering a church, with her possessed appearance, in a threatening manner, with a changed and bloody voice, repeating the words the father just said...

But I repeat to you: she is in a church...! where demons aren't supposed to get in, and she's there... and I think, but what is she going on here? This looks good... This has made me very excited.

We have the appearance of Chris Macneil who is the mother of the girl Regan from The Exorcist from 1973, already older and apparently has written about his experience with the exorcism of his daughter and seems to give lectures or something. One of the nurses at the hospital where Angela and Khaterine are hospitalized seems to be able to contact her for help.

Chris seems to know the demon according to the scene that we are presented with, and he recreates part of what she lived through with Regan, which makes us assume that this demon is Pasusu, so this is more personal.

Chris talks a little about what the Exorcism ritual is about, and says that each religion has its own ritual to fight demons, and that to help girls, all exorcisms are going to be needed. So, it seems that this battle against what appears to be Pasusu will be epic.

The Trailer does not show Regan, however there is part of her name written on a wall by the hand of one of the girls, so I hope to see her in the movie.

What I think The Exorcist-Believer will bring:

• It will be a double Exorcism, I don't know why but both girls are together and totally possessed, so for the first time we will see a double Exorcism.

• The background of these films, which is Faith, will be raised from different points of view of different religions, since to beat this demon several religious beliefs will be united. However, it caught my attention that no priest appears in the Trailer... Interesting...

• The love of the family is once again the protagonist, due to the presence and anguish of the parents, especially Angela's father.

• The director is taking care of valuable details such as the diversity of races and genders, since until now the women in charge of the situation with Chris appear with leading roles, and people with brown complexions that cause so much controversy if they go out or not in the movies, as Oppenheimer's film is currently criticized since only white people appear in it.

• They present the interpretation of possession from science, since the girls are treated in a hospital and monitored with equipment and medical personnel, and of course they will have the version of what happens from the religious point of view.

I am going to give you 3 Recommendations to see The Exorcist-Believer:

1. Do not see it with so many expectations, it is better to go with an open mind to surprise us with what the director wants to tell us.

2. You have to see it in the cinema. There are movies that I enjoy at home, but there are others that deserve to be seen on a giant screen, especially because of the audience's reactions, the surround sound, the experience, in short.

3. Watch The Exorcist from 1973 again, I've seen it several times but I'll see it again because every time I see it I live it differently, for example now I think I'll pay more attention to Chris's character and the things Pasusu says , since they will surely refer to The Exorcist-Believer.

Well, this Trailer for The Exorcist-Believer has caught me, I had no expectations and now I'm very excited, I hope they haven't shown us the best of the movie yet, because it has happened in other cases that the trailer is the best and when you go to see the movie it turns out that they already told it all in the trailer.

I want it to be so good that we don't remember the previous sequels, since this film comes from or continues from The Exorcist from 1973, and it is also confirmed that what would be the third film of this new approach is in production where the others are not taken into account. and would constitute a Trilogy.

For now we have to wait for its premiere in October 2023, when I hope to come and make my publication and say that the Director has given us a sequel that does justice to his first one.
