"Strays" a doggy movie for adults / "Hijos de Perra" una película de perritos para adultos

Inevitably thinking of a dog movie makes me think of Owen Wilson in "Marley and Me", Dennis Quaid in "The Reason for Being With You" or the remembered Hachy in Richard Gere in "Always by Your Side", there are many more but These are the ones that touched my heart to remember them forever. But this movie "Strays" has nothing to do with those mentioned, it has more to do with the movie "Ted" with Mark Wahlberg because of the quite risque content (even much more), the black humor, double meaning and even politically incorrect, and the large amount of adult vocabulary as well.

Inevitablemente pensar en una película de perros, me hace lleva a Owen Wilson en "Marley y yo", Dennis Quaid en "La razón de estar contigo" o el recordado Hachy en Richard Gere en "Siempre a tu lado", hay muchas más pero estas son las que tocaron mi corazón para recordarlas por siempre. Pero esta película "Hijos de Perra" no tiene nada que ver con las mencionadas, tiene más que ver con la película "Ted" con Mark Wahlberg por el contenido bastante subido de tono (incluso mucho más), el humor negro, de doble sentido y hasta políticamente incorrecto, y la gran cantidad de vocabulario para adultos también.

The story of "Strays" is about a very cute Border Terrier named Reggie who lives with his owner Doug, who is an adult, a failure and a drinker, who is a very bad person and treats Reggie very badly, to the point that he tries to get rid of him and continually throws the ball away from home so that Reggie doesn't come home.

Reggie, loving him so much, thinks it's a game and always returns home with the ball, until one day Doug drives too far from home to throw the ball at him and abandon him. This moved me a lot on a personal level because you always hear about people who mistreat their pets and abandon them; The hardest thing is that pets and especially dogs always love their owners because they are very noble animals. That is why from the moment the theme of the film was raised, it moved and captured me.

Reggie abandoned and alone goes to meet a group of dogs with whom he will take a trip full of adventures. This group is Bug, a Boston Terrier, leader of a group of stray dogs; Hunter, a nervous Great Dane who won't leave his cone, and Maggie, an Australian Shepherd with an outstanding sense of smell.

This group of stray dogs tries to convince Reggie that his owner doesn't love him and that he is also a stray dog, and this entire group is the protagonists of "Strays"

According to my selection of favorite dog movies that I mentioned at the beginning, you will see that in them the dogs do not speak like people to each other. But in "Strays" they do talk among themselves, among all the dogs that are seen during the movie, and this is a resource that when they have used it in other movies I have even found ridiculous, but here they have used it very well, The technology they have used to make it seem like they speak in impressive, to the point that it looks natural, not annoying at all, I even stopped paying attention to this quickly.

Throughout the film they use rude and double meaning language, just a few minutes passed and I realized that it was not directed at children, and later when I was looking for images for this publication I saw on the official posters that it is really not suitable for children and they do a lot emphasis on that. As I told you, it is more like the movie "Ted" in that they have very tender protagonists, but its content is for adults.

"Strays" also has many messages and criticisms for society, which uses pets as fashion accessories, and is irresponsible with them. I think it's great that they were able to handle the adult comedy and at the same time move to the point of making us reflect on the responsibility towards pets and the beautiful feelings that they have towards humans.
