Atrapados en lo Profundo (Review) Lo Nuevo de Tiburones (Esp-Eng)

Si de por sí el miedo a volar es normal para muchas personas, sobre todo si piensan en que pueda ocurrir un accidente, es algo que no nos deja dormir durante el vuelo, sobre todo si hay turbulencia. Por su parte, para muchos el miedo a navegar en el mar por miedo a ahogarse o a ser comido por un gigantesco pez es algo que también nos suele pasar, pues imagínense sumar ambos miedos.

Y esto es algo que vemos en esta película, pues la trama nos muestra la historia de un grupo de pasajeros, quienes se enrumban a un viaje con el fin de disfrutar de unas merecidas vacaciones en la playa, pero estas se ven interrumpidas cuando uno de los motores se incendia y el avión cae precipitado hacia el mar.

Pero antes de caer una de las partes del motor al explotar, golpea un costado del avión y hace que se abra un enorme hueco que hace que el avión se despresurice y comiencen a salir los pasajeros expulsados hacia afuera por las fuertes corrientes de aire.

If the fear of flying is normal for many people, especially if they think that an accident may occur, it is something that does not let us sleep during the flight, especially if there is turbulence. On the other hand, for many people the fear of sailing in the sea for fear of drowning or being eaten by a giant fish is something that also happens to us, so imagine adding both fears.
And this is something we see in this film, as the plot shows us the story of a group of passengers, who are on a trip in order to enjoy a well-deserved vacation at the beach, but these are interrupted when one of the engines catches fire and the plane falls precipitously into the sea.
But before falling, one of the parts of the engine explodes, hitting the side of the plane and causing a huge hole to open up, causing the plane to depressurize and the passengers to be thrown out by the strong air currents.

Luego al caer en el océano, los supervivientes quedan atrapados en una burbuja de aire lo que les permite disfrutar de un tiempo de oxígeno antes de tomar la acción necesaria para poder sobrevivir, mientras que se dan cuenta de que son acechados por un grupo de tiburones que fueron atraídos al avión por los cadáveres de los demás pasajeros.

En una situación así es casi imposible mantener la calma porque literalmente estaban atrapados. Yo sentí el miedo porque no es solo evitar a los tiburones, sino contar con el oxígeno necesario en tus pulmones para poder llegar a la superficie.

Yo ni lo intento, porque a la segunda brazada que dejó ya me quedo sin oxígeno y créanme que no exagero. Los efectos de la película fueron muy buenos. De cómo nos presentaron la forma en la que el avión iba cayendo de una pendiente en el lecho marino y de cómo se iba quebrando poco a poco, me dejó impresionada.

Then falling into the ocean, the survivors are trapped in an air bubble which allows them to enjoy some oxygen time before taking the necessary action to be able to survive, while realizing that they are stalked by a group of sharks that were attracted to the plane by the corpses of the other passengers.
In such a situation it is almost impossible to remain calm because they were literally trapped. I felt the fear because it's not just avoiding the sharks, but having the necessary oxygen in your lungs to be able to reach the surface.
I don't even try, because at the second stroke I run out of oxygen and believe me I'm not exaggerating. The movie effects were very good. The way we were presented with the way the plane was falling from a slope on the seabed and how it was breaking little by little, left me impressed.

Y sí, coincido en que no es una película ganadora de un Óscar, pero es una producción decente donde, en líneas generales, lo que se busca es mantenernos entretenidos usando miedos comunes y la necesidad que tiene el ser humano por sobrevivir y todo lo que está dispuesto a hacer.

Esta película ya está disponible en las plataformas de streaming para que te inquietes un rato con la trama y esperes ver quién será el afortunado en sobrevivir y cómo mueren los demás pasajeros, algo crudo, pero cierto.

And yes, I agree that it is not an Oscar-winning film, but it is a decent production where, in general terms, what is sought is to keep us entertained using common fears and the need of human beings to survive and everything they are willing to do.
This movie is already available on streaming platforms so you can get anxious for a while with the plot and wait to see who will be the lucky one to survive and how the other passengers die, something crude, but true.
