Greetings @Movies&TvShows community, I decided to participate in the Christmas Contest and what better to do it with one of my favorite movies, in relation to this theme and this is, The Polar Express.
Film directed by Robert Zemeckis, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and based on the children's book The Polar Express (1985) by Chris Van Allsburg, released in 2004. Animated, adventure, fantasy and children's film, it featured the voices of Tom Hanks, who acquired the rights to the book in 1999, as well as the participation of Daryl Sabara, Michael Jeter and others. It had 3 Oscar nominations in the categories best original song, sound and sound effect, also nominated at the Golden Globes Critics' Choice Awards and others.
This film was produced using the cinematographic technique known as Gesture and Motion Capture, which allows to digitally store the interpretations made by the actors, in this case and make use of that information to shape the digital models of the characters in 3D animation, in the same way as it was done with the Avatar movie and others. However, this film entered the Guinness Book of Records as the first feature film made entirely in digital capture.
I must admit that I like this cinematographic technique, because, in addition to having the actor put the voice, he also makes the gestural movements of the characters, making the film feel like a kind of painting come to life. Although, I must admit that at first I was uncomfortable with the animation, but then, as you end up adapting and visualizing the exquisite details and gestures in which each scene is presented to us, even more so for the time.
Now, what brings us this film, the story focuses on the character "the boy hero", yes, most of the characters are not identified with names, but are referred to that way, the boy hero, the girl heroine, the wise guy, the driver, the tramp and so on. Anyway, the boy hero, who is only 8 years old, on that good night, begins to lose faith little by little in Santa Claus, but at that moment, a train passes by him, which has the task of picking up a certain number of children to take them to the North Pole.
At first, our protagonist hesitates, but in the end he manages to enter the train, which is called "The Polar Express"; to get on it, he needs a ticket, which the conductor gives him and "stamps", this detail will be relevant for later on. On the train, the boy hero meets others, where he will make friends with some of them and, from here, he begins his adventures that will make him relive that belief in something or someone, the importance of this for the life of each one of us.
A feature film that, in my opinion, is nostalgic, developed in a very beautiful and unforgettable atmosphere and that, unfortunately, did not have the value it deserved at the time, because it brings you that essence of having the Christmas spirit, the fact of believing in that magic that makes sharing, friendship and other values possible, because believing allows us to develop, to live and, above all, to recover and return to our north.
Without a doubt, it is a movie that I would recommend watching with the family for these dates.

Saludos comunidad de @Movies&TvShows, decidí participar en el Concurso navideño y que mejor hacerlo con una de mis películas favoritas, en relación a está temática y esta es, El Expreso Polar.
Película dirigida por Robert Zemeckis, distribuida por Warner Bros. Pictures y basada en en el libro infantil El Expreso Polar (1985) de Chris Van Allsburg, estrenada para el año 2004. De género animación, aventura, fantasía, infantil, contó con las voces de Tom Hanks, quién adquirió para el año 1999, los derechos del libro; asimismo con la participación de Daryl Sabara, Michael Jeter y demás. Contó con 3 nominaciones al Oscar en las categorías mejor canción original, sonido y efecto de sonido, nominada también en los Globos de Oro Critics' Choice Awards y demás.
Este filme se produjo mediante la técnica cinematográfica conocida como Captura de gestos y movimientos, la cual permite almacenar digitalmente las interpretaciones que hacen los actores, en este caso y hacer uso de esa información para darle forma a los modelos digitales de los personajes en animación 3D, de la misma manera que se hizo con la película de Avatar y otras más. No obstante, esta película entro en libro de los Récord Guinness como el primer largometraje hecha completamente en captura digital.
Debo admitir que me gusta esta técnica cinematográfica, porque, además de hacer que el actor ponga la voz, también haga los movimientos gestuales de los personajes, sintiéndose la película como una especie de pintura cobrara vida. Aunque, debo admitir que un principio si me incomodaba la animación, pero luego, como que te terminas de adaptar y visualizar la exquisitez en los detalles y la gestualidad en la que se nos presenta cada escena, más aún para la época.
Ahora, qué nos trae este filme, pues la historia nos centra en el personaje “el niño héroe”, si, la mayoría de los personajes no se identifican con nombres, sino que son referidos de esa manera, el niño héroe, la niña heroína, el niño sabelotodo, el conductor, el vagabundo y demás. En fin, el niño héroe, quien tiene apenas 8 años, en esa noche buena, empieza a perder poco a poco la fe por Santa Claus, pero en eso, un tren pasa por él, el cual tiene la tarea de recoger a una cantidad determinada de niños para llevarlos al Polo Norte.
Al principio, nuestro protagonista duda, pero al final logra adentrarse al tren, que lleva nombre de “El Expreso Polar”; para subirse a este, es necesario un boleto, mismo que el conductor le da y “sella”, este detalle será relevante para más adelante. En el tren, el niño héroe conoce a otros, donde entablará amistades con algunos de ellos y, a partir de aquí, comienza sus aventuras que lo hará revivir esa creencia en algo o alguien, la importancia de esto para la vida de cada uno de nosotros.
Un largometraje que, al mi parecer, es nostálgico, desarrollada en una atmosfera muy bonita e inolvidable y que, lastimosamente no tuvo el valor que se merecía en su momento, porque te trae esa esencia de tener el espíritu navideño, el hecho de creer en esa magia que hace posible el compartir, la amistad y demás valores, pues el creer nos permite desarrollarnos, vivir y, sobre todo, recuperarnos y volver a nuestro norte.
Sin duda alguna, es una película que recomendaría ver en familia para estas fechas.
