That Ricky's actions always benefit his three great childhood friends and even in adulthood, the great Ricky is "present", at least that was what these three boys, who one Halloween night invented the best friend ever they would have. That's right, Ricky is the invention of three kids who had gotten into trouble one Halloween night. Their plan was simple: They started a fire, grabbed a sweatshirt, and wrote "Ricky Stanicky." And that's how this character began to fill the pages of his own Bible, written by his three apostles (so to speak).

But like every farce in this world that comes to an end, Ricky's was not going to last forever. The relatives of the three inseparable friends insisted on meeting the famous Ricky about whom they had heard stories for many years, but had never seen him. These three friends had a brilliant idea to make their imaginary friend come to life: hire a little-known actor they once saw in a bar doing crude impressions of Britney Spears and Bob Dylan. It is at this point in the plot where John Cena's character, named Rob, enters. He receives a phone call telling him that he must play a character, that's right, Rob must impersonate Ricky Stanicky in front of everyone so that the whole farce continues. And how will they achieve it? Easy, they gave him "the bible", which was basically a notebook written by the three friends since they were children, where all the adventures experienced by the imaginary friend were detailed.

And Ricky has a very extensive resume such as: working for U2's Bono in Nairobi, he also helped in Africa to circumcise adult men, he even works for a charity organization. Ricky is an example of a human being. but let's not forget that he is a character and Rob doesn't do any of that.

It is not the first time that a film has a plot like Ricky Stanicky's. Back in the day, Eddie Murphy did "Trading Places," remember him? That movie where some millionaires make a bet by giving the role of a stockbroker to a beggar. And if we go to the animated part, in The Simpsons they also used a similar plot, where Lisa Simpson turns the gardener Willy into an aristocrat.
No es la primera vez que una película tiene un argumento como el de Ricky Stanicky. En el pasado, Eddie Murphy hizo "Trading Places", ¿lo recuerdan? Debo recalcar que utilizo lo ocurrido en los Oscars para jugar con la ficción de la película. Pero a presentación nada tiene que ver con la película hehe. El motivo real supuestamente es porque es una protesta a favor del sindicato de trabajadores de vestuarios en cine que buscan una mejora salarial, ya que el movimiento se llama en su traducción al español "sin nosotros estarían desnudos" y si, tiene un buen cuerpo para la edad que tiene, a fin de cuentas fue peleador de la WWE
I thought Ricky Stanicky was great... and that Oscar's presentation was awful and in bad taste. At least it got Cena a bunch of publicity, even if it was for the wrong reasons.
