CineTV Contest: The Greatest Beer Run Ever [ENG-ESP]

Watching this film is to have an emotional journey, the themes present such as friendship, courage, motivation, patriotism, conviction and more are mixed in a warlike comic tone that in the end manages to perfectly portray the magnitude of the conflict and how John, despite discovering this new reality, does not stop in completing his mission: to bring beer to his friends.

It's interesting how this contest fits perfectly with this film, and beer is everywhere, most notably in the film's title. And throughout its duration it really highlights the importance of an individual's decision to bring a simple beer to his friends at war. This simple gesture, which in turn is completely crazy, ends up transmitting in the viewer a sense of satisfaction, first because of the greatness of the trip and how the encounters with each person who will receive a beer happen, second because although all the time you are thinking that the idea is crazy and senseless, the situations around when he delivers the beers ends up demonstrating that any gesture that a person has for another no matter how crazy it is, can mean a great stimulus for the recipient regardless of the situation in which it is found. If we transfer this to the context of the war, then that simple beer that traveled from the United States to Vietnam did more than any other person could have done to encourage the soldiers on the front lines. It was the encouragement they needed at the time, and although at first it was not well received due to the situation, it ended up being a true reflection of the love we human beings have for our loved ones.

Ver esta película es tener un viaje emocional, los temas presentes como la amistad, el valor, la motivación, el patriotismo, convicción y mas se mezclan en un tono cómico bélico que al final logra retratar a la perfección la magnitud del conflicto y como John a pesar de ir descubriendo esta nueva realidad no se detiene en completar su misión trazada: llevarle cerveza a sus amigos.

Es interesante como este concurso encaja a la perfección con esta película, y es que la cerveza está en todas partes, principalmente en el título del film. Y a lo largo de su duración realmente hace destacar la importancia de que un individuo tomo la decisión de llevarles una simple cerveza a sus amigos en la guerra. Este simple gesto, que a su vez es una completa locura termina transmitiendo en el espectador una sensación de satisfacción, primero por lo grandioso del viaje y como suceden los encuentros con cada persona que va a recibir una cerveza, segundo porque aunque todo el tiempo se está pensando que la idea es una locura y sin sentido las situaciones en torno a cuando entrega las cervezas termina demostrando que cualquier gesto que una persona tenga para con otra sin importar lo demente que este sea, puede llegar a significar un gran estimulo para quien lo recibe sin importar la situación en la que se encuentre. Si trasladamos esto al contexto de la guerra, entonces esa simple cerveza que viajo desde estados unidos hasta Vietnam, hizo más de lo que cualquier otra persona pudiera haber hecho para alentar a los soldados en el frente de batalla. Fue el espaldarazo que necesitaban en ese momento y que al principio no era bien recibido debido a la situación, termina siendo el fiel reflejo del amor que tenemos los seres humanos por nuestros allegados.
