Review || El Maestro Luchador - [ESP-ENG]
Siendo un gran seguidor y apasionado de las MMA, me he sentido apenado de no haber visto esta película, porque fue estrenada en el 2012, lamentablemente, no tenía idea de su existencia y al verla me ha parecido muy entretenida. Se trata de un maestro que decide entrar en el mundo de las Artes Marciales Mixtas, para buscar fondos y salvar el programa de música que están por cerrar a falta de presupuesto.
Being a great follower and passionate about MMA, I felt sorry for not having seen this movie, because it was released in 2012, unfortunately, I had no idea of its existence and when I saw it I found it very entertaining. It is about a teacher who decides to enter the world of Mixed Martial Arts, to seek funds and save the music program that they are about to close due to lack of budget.
Tiene una excelente relación con el profesor de música, quien va a tener un hijo y necesita ganarse la vida con su trabajo, trabajo que estaba a punto de finalizar y el profesor Scott Voss, interpretado por el actor Kevin James, no va a dejar que suceda y arriesga su físico entrando a la jaula y peleando contra profesionales en busca de dinero. Como suelen ser los personajes de Kevin James, la comedia no falta y es una producción excelente para pasar un buen rato en casa.
He has an excellent relationship with the music teacher, who is going to have a child and needs to make a living with his job, a job that was about to end and the teacher Scott Voss, played by actor Kevin James, is not going to let it happen and risks his physique entering the cage and fighting against professionals in search of money. As Kevin James' characters tend to be, the comedy is not lacking and it is an excellent production to have a good time at home.
Todo comienza cuando Scott Voss, decide dar una vuelta en las instalaciones del colegio y llega al salón de música, donde se está interpretando una gran pieza, los alumnos y el profesor se ven muy apasionados y disfrutando de gran forma la clase. Entre una charla de profesores, se entera de la gran noticia del profesor de música, va a tener un hijo y se ve muy emocionado.
Luego se viene una junta, donde los directores del colegio, anuncia recortes por falta de presupuesto y el proyecto de música se iba a estar cerrando. Por ende razón, el profesor de música perdería su trabajo en un momento crítico de su vida, pues necesita el ingreso para apoyar a su familia en el proceso de tener un bebe. Scott Voss, se enfrenta a los directores y afirma que va a conseguir el presupuesto necesario para que no cierren las clases de música.
El presupuesto estimado era de 40 mil dólares, una cifra nada fácil de recaudar, prácticamente se trataba de un milagro, pero Scott Voss, estaba comprometido y haría lo imposible para llegar a obtener el dinero. Saliendo de una clase, un alumno es fanático de la UFC, deporte de Artes Marciales Mixtas, y lo invita a su casa a ver unas peleas. Mientras observa el combate, se entera de que un peleador gana 10 mil dólares por pelear y 50 mil dólares si logra la victoria.
Parece que se abrió un camino de esperanza, hay una oportunidad de ganar dinero, ingresar al mundo del combate es una jugada arriesgada, pero, Scott Voss, menciona que fue luchador en su etapa juvenil y tiene algo de experiencia en cuanto a lucha. Y la meta establecida es llegar a la industria de la UFC, no importaba perder, solo por subirse al octágono, obtendría 10 mil dólares y acude a un alumno que da clases de MMA y empieza un proceso de entrenamiento.
It all starts when Scott Voss, decides to take a walk in the school facilities and arrives at the music room, where a great piece is being played, the students and the teacher look very passionate and enjoying the class in a great way. Between a talk of teachers, he learns the great news of the music teacher, he is going to have a son and looks very excited.
Then comes a meeting, where the directors of the school, announces cuts due to lack of budget and the music project was going to be closed. For this reason, the music teacher would lose his job at a critical time in his life, as he needs the income to support his family in the process of having a baby. Scott Voss, confronts the directors and affirms that he is going to get the necessary budget so that the music classes do not close.
The estimated budget was $40,000, not an easy figure to raise, practically a miracle, but Scott Voss was committed and would do the impossible to get the money. Leaving a class, a student is a fan of the UFC, the sport of Mixed Martial Arts, and invites him to his house to watch some fights. While watching the fight, he learns that a fighter earns $10,000 for fighting and $50,000 if he wins.
It seems that a path of hope has been opened, there is an opportunity to earn money, entering the world of combat is a risky move, but Scott Voss mentions that he was a wrestler in his youth and has some experience in terms of fighting. And the established goal is to reach the UFC industry, it did not matter to lose, just to get into the octagon, he would get 10 thousand dollars and he goes to a student who teaches MMA classes and begins a training process.

Para llegar al ámbito profesional e ingresar en la UFC, primero debe pasar por un proceso de peleas callejeras, luchar en lugares clandestinos y poco a poco ir subiendo niveles. Como era de esperarse, ganar no es nada sencillo, Scott Voss, necesita mucho entrenamiento y muchos más combates para poder mejorar y luego aspirar hacia el mundo profesional. Esta etapa de la producción, personalmente me gusta porque no tratan de hacer una fantasía con el mundo de la pelea.
Cuando comenzó el camino, todos pensaban que el profesor estaba loco, luego, poco a poco, ante los ojos de los alumnos de música, se fue convirtiendo en un héroe, porque se enteraron de que estaba haciendo todo por ellos, para salvar el proyecto de música y que los alumnos como el profesor pudieran seguir haciendo lo que tanto amán. Incluso, los directivos del colegio, no querían que siguiera con los combates, pero se negó y afronto el reto.
La lucha hizo que Scott Voss, se esforzara más en sus metas, alcanzaría mayor disciplina, la mujer que tanto deseaba en su vida, le ofreció una oportunidad y todo lo que engloba en su vida fue mejorando. Ganar su primer combate fue de suerte, hay que admitirlo, pero a medida de esfuerzo y entrenamiento se hizo un mejor luchador en la medida de sus capacidades.
Llego su oportunidad con la UFC y ocurrió un trágico suceso en la escuela. Scott Voss, tenía la opción de no pelear, abandonar todo o seguir hacia adelante y subirse al octágono contra un peleador profesional. El mensaje final está increíble, por total razón, recomiendo mucho esta película, la cual te va a sacar unas buenas sonrisas y te dejara un aprendizaje sobre la vida. When the path began, everyone thought the teacher was crazy, then, little by little, in the eyes of the music students, he became a hero, because they learned that he was doing everything for them, to save the music project and that students like the teacher could continue doing what they love so much. Even the school administrators did not want him to continue with the fights, but he refused and faced the challenge.
The fight made Scott Voss strive harder in his goals, he would achieve more discipline, the woman he wanted so much in his life, offered him an opportunity and everything in his life was improving. Winning his first fight was a matter of luck, admittedly, but with effort and training he became a better fighter to the best of his abilities.
His opportunity with the UFC came and a tragic event happened at the school. Scott Voss, had the choice of not fighting, giving it all up or moving forward and stepping into the octagon against a professional fighter. The final message is incredible, for total reason, I highly recommend this movie, which will make you smile and leave you learning about life. It is available on the HBO Max platform and has a duration of 1 hour and 44 minutes.

Vi está película hace un tiempo y debo decir que si me gusto, a pesar de que no soy fanático del MMA pero aún así valoro en deporte en general y más está película bien hecha y entretenida.

Esa película me hizo reír mucho, tiene sus partes clásicas como cuando el contrincante sale con la canción de él y le toca cambiarla a última hora por una muy desafortunada, jajajajaja.
Wow viejo esta es una gran película! Es una de mis películas de comedia favoritas, el sacrificio de ese maestro por su amigo que iba a perder su trabajo es algo que endulza mucho esta trama, y como soy músico, me sentí muy identificado con el profesor de música y su forma de ser.
