No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie (2024)

Cartoons these days are weird! The drawings, characters, color scheme, story-telling—not a single thing in current cartoons is as nostalgic and iconic as the Kids Next Door, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Martin Mystery, and so forth. Yet, somehow, 'The Loud House' caught my eyes.

It is basically a collection of small episodes focusing on Lincoln Loud, who is the only brother of ten sisters! The episodes are funny, all the sisters are weirdos, so on a whole this can lighten up the mood.

'No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie' is the second movie of this franchise. Had manythings to do, but needed to freshen up the mood, so watched this movie.

The movie started with Agent 28 being chased by 2 planes. She was in pursuit of a Dr. Dufus who was planing to launch a rocket to cause world domination. Agent 28 easily defeated the henchmen, finally encountered Ham Hand. (Where is the Ham on the hand? Well, it is short for hammer! 😝) She was caged, but as things go in the spy movies, they cannot be kept contained for long! Agent 28 eventually got out and defeated Ham Hand.

Due to clumsiness, Dr. Dufus somehow got stuck at the rocket chamber just before it was about to launch. Agent 28 tried her best to cancel the launch but was unable! So, the rocket took off with Dr. Dufus.

I was thinking, where are the Louds? How will this be incorporated with them?

Looks like it was a story told by Lincoln to his best friend Clyde about his Gran Gran! Lincoln's grand father was getting married with the retired Agent 28. Licoln being a David Steele fan, was extremely happy and was ready to be a spy. So, he as the best man was given the duty to keep the wedding rings safe.

The whole family, went to a location, where Myrtle (real name of agent 28) and Pop Pop (the grandfather) would get married. Things could go smoothly, if Lincoln did not keep on playing his spy game! He saw a shaky deal going on and used his camera to capture images, which was seen by the villians and henchmen were sent.

Gran Gran was not convinced of Lincoln's story, but the henchmen got in the boat and they had a fight where agent 28 came out victorious.

After many incidents, Gran Gran was captured by the bad guys. The Lincoln took all the blame. Upon meeting with the family, he managed to convince them all to take up the spy mantle to save their beloved. They needed gadgets to be real spy, who else to provide it other than Lisa!

Then came the twist! I will not talk about the story anymore cause all would be spoiler.

The making was good. The runtime was enough but not all the characters got the focus, the attention they deserved. Most of the Loud sisters posseses unique skills which could be utilized more I think. Sure, Lincoln is the center of attention, but giving him slightly lesser time would not make it bad, rather it would prove the message the movie conveyed, the family always stays together and they can overcome any obstacles.

The emotional depth could be deepen if they wished. Then the movie could be even better.

On the whole, I liked this movie. My personal rating would be a 7 out of 10.
