Hi movies lovers... What movie do you watch nowadays?

Talking about the tittle, The Archies and Riverdale, I bet you feel relate to comic The Archies, but why are the cover is like different? I will tell you that your first thought is true then I will give you the answer why you are not seeing Camela Mendes and her gangs?

Cause this is The Archies in another Universe.

This movie is adapted by Comic The Archies character but live in fiction place named Riverdale. So you can see Archie, Veronica, Betty, Jughead, Reggie in different Bollywood version. This movie is collaborating with Netflix, so since 7 December you can watch The Archies on Netflix.

Talking about Bollywood movies, are you seeing the new faces there? Yup, the moviemaker has given the Bollywood lovers new faces. They are starkids Suhana Khan (daughter of Shah Rukh Khan), Khushi Kapoor (Daughter of Sridevi), Agastya Nanda (Grandson of Amitabh Bachchan), Dot and Vedang Rania are the singer, and the others are truly new faces by audition.

The Archies told about a childhood gang in Riverdale which is reunite in their 10 grade. Veronica Lodge who is recently comeback from London, reunite to her best friend Betty Cooper. Veronica is daughter of businessman, Mr. Lodge and Hermione. They are wealthy family which is come back from London to open the Hotel in Green Park.

Veronica then held a party to reunite with her gang, Archie, Reggie, Ethel, Jughead, and peoples in the town. Archie is the most happy person cause Ronnie's back. It make his love is back to Ronnie. He even arranging a dinner with Ronnie in birthday night of Betty. Even though Betty and Archie are best friend, Betty has a crush on Archie and can not say it due Archie is playboy in Riverdale.

In order side, the story become strong when Mr. Lodge run his mission to open a hotel in Green Park. Green Park is the precious Park for Riverdale peoples cause Green Park was not just a Park, whereas their identity as Anglo-Indian. Mr. Lodge face a protest from Riverdale peoples include his daughter and the gangs.

Then the story focused on how to save Green Park.

• Light Story but still Entertaining

Save something historical in the small town was not new story but The Archies still entertaining to watch. Nowadays we can fought sometimes by media social and when its goes viral, it would be easy to fought to. But The Archies has 1947 year as their setting, when handphone is not there yet. The campaign faced the difficult due the information could not reach out more peoples even in the small town like Riverdale.

Those fact make this movie is more interesting and impressive due sometimes I bored to watch how internet has been used in the movies. I enjoyed how Archie and the gang spending their time with play, dance, and chit chat together.

Besides the story, I love the songs in this movie. The genre is Rock and Roll but still easy listening and had old vibes. The songs that make me head over heels are *Va Va Voom with great dance, Sunoh with something fun, and Dishoom with best roller dance performance.

• The Cast

In the opening word I said that The Archies has new faces which half of casts are star kids. They are Agastya Nanda (Archie), Suhana Khan (Ronnie), and Betty Cooper (Khushi) to debuted in this movies.

I think Zoya too brave to debuting 3 Star Kids in the moment when nepotism and Star Kid get trolled in India.

For a debut, the trio are not bad. For start their career, the trio has an impressive acting but for into the character, is bad!

I had a research for Veronica role in Riverdale series, Ronnie is not as sensual as Suhana Khan. I think Suhana is more similar as herself than Veronica. So as Betty Cooper ny Khushi. In Riverdale Betty is not that calm as Betty Cooper in this movie. I think the director has a reason.

Beside the character of the trio, I had crush of Reggie character. Everyone like agree that Vedang Raina as Reggie is screen stealer than the star kids. He is flamboyan but still has a value due his skill to writing something fun and something with revolution mission.

• Anglo-Indian Race

For make Riverdale, which is we were knew located in America, in India is like too imposing for me but Zoya Akhtar as director made it like real. She made it and create a place to Anglo-Indian, one of minority community in India which related to colonial era. By this movie I know that there is Anglo-Indian in India.

Anglo-Indian is peoples which is mixed Indian and British race. It started in the colonial era when the British fell in love and married to Indian. Even though this community is minority, we can knew them by their surname.
