Kabut Berduri
Recently, I came across a thriller movie from my country entittled: Kabut Berduri (means: Thorny Fog). This movie become popular in social media through the trailer which was visuallized Putri Marino and Nicolas Saputra, A-class actors in Indonesia. Therefore, I become excited about this thriller movie because the main role played by Putri Marino, who was improved her acting skill by the time flies.

Kabut Berduri opens with a portrait in one of the villages on the Indonesia-Malaysia border, in Kalimantan. In the village there is a serial murder involving two territorial parties, namely Indonesia and Malaysia. A detective named Sanja is assigned to investigate the crime in the village with local detectives named Thomas and Panca. Sanja and Thomas then follow the traces of the murders involving local mafias, as well as Sanja's past.
In their investigate, Sanja and Thomas faced faces similar events, where many people are mysteriously murdered. All of that complicates the investigation when Panca is uncooperative when Sanja arrests Agam, a powerful mafia in the area. Sanja assumes that Agam is connected to the deaths of people close to him. Agam is also a boss involved in human trafficking, so it is strong evidence that Agam is connected to the serial murders that befell the village.
Besides, There is a folk tale believed by one of the coffee shop owners there, Mr. Bujang. Mr. Bujang said that all the gloomy events lately were the will of Ambong--an entity he believed in.
The story is complicated, you even should to focus in detail of the movie. But I want to say that this movie is recommend because the casting is the real actor with high flight hours. Lukman Sardi as Panca, Yoga as Thomas, Putri Marino as Sanja, even the cameo is Nicholas Saputra.
Edwin, the director executed this film in a slick, slow, and enigmatic way. I even had to look for a cheat sheet while watching it because I didn't feel like making my own theories. I think they will had next season, and I can not wait for it!
I like Yoga as Thomas because he could compensate the Putri Marino. And the big applause is Putri Marino because her totality to become Sanja. She cut her hair until that short. In this movie, she is literally had gesture like androgyny, meanwhile, in the previous movie that I watched, The Architecture of Love she has feminim and mature aura as Raia. In this movie--Kabut Berduri, as investigator, she left the role of Raia. Perfecto!
Go watching this movie in Netflix, because you deserves have your Point of View than just read my view.
