The 8th Show: The torture begins Episodes 5 & 6 ~ Series Review

Let's have another review for the Korean drama series that has only 8 episodes and I am now making a review for the episodes 5 and 6. The episodes one to four was already reviewed and you can view my review here for the first and second episode and here for the third and fourth episode.

I am excited to tell you about this two episodes because this is the start of the torture of the floors. For the 5th episodes, it's about torturing lower floors namely 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor, and 5th floor. They will make a game where these lower floors will compete with each other and the higher floors will be the one to facilitate the game. The lower floors were competing so that they can get food and water because they will get food and water if they can add more time from the clock and each food or water costs 3 gold coins while the higher floors don't get to compete, rather they were having fun playing with the lower floors.

They need to make or think of a game or something to make the Hosts or audience from that show entertained and the more they were entertained by these floor participants, the more they will get time and at the same time, more money.

The fifth episodes, focuses on competing with the lower floors where they beat among themselves and the higher floor will only watch and make fun out of them. Devising a plan to recounter their bloody game from the lower floors is the key for them to get out from that beating from the lower floors to each other.

Then, an event that could twists the lower floors fate when floor 7 help them fight from the higher floors because floor 7 is also pitied the lower floors and he help them get out of that hell of beating each other. So, on the 6th episode, they were free from the torture of the higher floors specifically from the 6th floor.

The lower floors were really happy at the end of the 5th episode, here come the 6th episode where the lower floors celebrated on their freedom. A freedom that they will not experience anymore. They were imprison most of the higher floor especially, the 8th floor, 6th floor, and 4th floor.

After that freedom, they decided to end the game because they don't want to experience it again so, they kill the time by celebrating it and do nothing just to kill and end it but someone is very hungry about money and it wants to make more time by revenging the other imprisoned floors at night. So, time were also added and added and it got confusion among the lower floors.

Thoughts

The episodes were more interesting and it shows how greedy a person is in terms of money because they will do everything just to make money. I can compare this one in real world because it is really true and I have experience this one and I will do everything just to make money for myself to make a living for my family and also for myself.

From the start of the 5th episode, I sometimes paused the movie series because I am not used to watch torture movies and I will take a deep breathe before watching it again. I think it took me 4 times to pause the movie because I can't handle it if I will watch it continuously and after that, I feel relieved that they have their freedom at the end of that episode.

For this episode 5 & 6, I would rate the two episodes 8/10 because of their acting skills and also on how they play from the movie, it gives audience satisfaction. I can say that this two episodes gives your heartache because of the torture of others but it is satisfying after they get their freedom. I shouted at the end of the episode 5 and I said deserved even if it's in the middle of the night.

I am very intrigued by that dynamic of the lower floors competing with each other for resources, while the upper floors are having fun. It's an interesting premise!

Bad news: Saying see you later to Hive! 👋

We didn't get the needed support to continue cXc.world on Hive, as our DHF proposal lacked votes, but [Good News Everyone] cXc.world will add a Markdown copy button, allowing you to easily share your music + music you find on Hive.

For now, we're on WAX, with tools you can use to mint your own Music/Media NFT collection.
