Hierarchy: A Disappointing Korean Drama Series ~ Review

It's been a couple of days since I posted a review on a movie or a series because I've been busy watching the Korean drama series that mostly has 16 episodes and each episodes has more or less 1 hour of watching. Just yesterday, because I don't have any work to do and I scroll over into my Netflix account to watch any movies or series, then I saw this Korean drama series that has seven episode with each episodes has more than 1 hour of streaming and this is the top 1 movie series in my Netflix in the Philippines.

I watched this movie series which directed by Bae Hyun Jin and also the stars and they are Roh Jeong-ee, Lee Chae-Min, Kim Jae-Won, Ji Hye-Won and other famous stars in the Korean industry. The genre for this movie series is psychological thriller, romance mixed with mystery.

I don't want to spoil you about this Korean drama series so that you can watch this on your own. You can watch this on Netflix and other websites that has like this. Below is the trailer of the series.

The Korean movie series has only seven episodes and this is the first time that I've watched a Korean movie series that has only seven episode because most of the Korean drama has 16 episodes. For this seven episodes, there were lots of questions that I've raised on why, what happened, and how did it happened but it seems that they quickly end the series.

For the first 3 episodes, it was great, there were lots of people that were involved in this series and it's about vengeance and hatred with other people involved in the incident. For me, the movie series is not as quite as good as other Korean movie series. It's like the director RUSHED to finished the Korean series and there were lots of things that they can improve. Although, the casts were great at acting from the series itself like they get my angriness to that cast and I sometimes took a deep breathe before continuing watching the Korean movie series.

The cinematography is also great, they give efforts on every scenes from the movie series and it was really one of the best but I think expectation was not meet on this series because it started from a hatred and vengeance but it ended up a romance at the end of the Korean movie that is now a love triangle between the two men into one woman.

I had high expectations about this Korean drama series but that expectation lose hope after each of the episode up until end of the movie series. After every episode, they cut it and they proceed with the next timeline and they will just make a scene that happened before. Sometimes I wonder if that episode is correct because they jump into another timeline after the end of the episode.

I am confuse if the director did that on purpose but if the director did that, that's not a good idea for a movie series that has lots of potential to be one of the best series in the 2024. It has lots of potential if it was directed correctly. My excitement as watching this Korean drama has disappointed me.

For this Korean series, I would rate 6/10 because the artists were best at acting but the story is one that makes the series not to be the top series in Korean Drama.
