Jennifer Lopez protagoniza a Atlas Shepherd, una chica auténtica que tiene la particularidad de desconfiar de la IA al punto de que en el momento más crucial y totalmente límite, debe ceder y dejar a un lado su orgullo. Pero lo sorprendente es que luego de esto, pareciera que de alguna forma nace una amistad muy difícil de romper, y eso es algo que parece enseñar que siempre necesitamos del otro para avanzar, sin importar si se trate de un humano, o en este caso, una IA con una personalidad un poco sarcástica.

Desde un primer momento nos sumergimos en un clima de acción frenética en el que todo explota por los aires. En un mundo futurista, nada es como lo que se pretendió alguna vez, y eso queda resaltado en una batalla contra máquinas que han superado el razonamiento y la estructura cerebral humana de una manera sobradamente caótica, inclinando la balanza de manera tal que la humanidad corra el riesgo de extinguirse.

Detrás de todo está la idea de cazar a la inteligencia artificial Harlan (Simu Liu), la cual fue creada en algún tiempo remoto con un plan sumamente diferente; apoyar a la humanidad.

Esa idea principal ha quedado devastada cuando Harlan logró revelarse y mostrar sus verdaderas intenciones. Pero no todo estaría perdido, pues Atlas había encontrado un gran compañero de viaje en la travesía inevitable de sobrevivir frente a sus enemigos.

Jennifer Lopez stars as Atlas Shepherd, an authentic girl who has the peculiarity of distrusting AI to the point that at the most crucial and totally limit, she must give in and set aside her pride. But the surprising thing is that after this, it seems that in some way a friendship is born that is very difficult to break, and that is something that seems to teach us that we always need the other to move forward, regardless of whether it is a human, or in this case, an AI with a somewhat sarcastic personality.

From the very beginning, we immerse ourselves in a climate of frenetic action in which everything explodes in the air. In a futuristic world, nothing is as it was intended to be, and that is highlighted in a battle against machines that have surpassed human reasoning and brain structure in a chaotically overwhelming way, tipping the balance in such a way that humanity is at risk of extinction.

Behind it all is the idea of hunting down the artificial intelligence Harlan (Simu Liu), which was created in some remote time with a vastly different plan; to support humanity.

That main idea has been devastated when Harlan managed to reveal itself and show its true intentions. But not all would be lost, as Atlas had found a great travel companion in the inevitable journey of surviving in front of her enemies.

El coronel Banks (Sterling K. Brown) introdujo a Atlas en un mundo robótico en el que se tendría que acostumbrar a la fuerza luego de un ataque descomunal. Momento en el que todo el equipo se separa y pierde en una caída hacia la incertidumbre absoluta. En esa gran caída hacia un planeta inhóspito, es que conoce a Smith; un robot al que puede pilotar y hacer una suerte de conversación en un momento bastante dramático en el que una decisión mal tomada podría significar la muerte.

La incursión a ese planeta está llena de peligros en los que cualquier paso puede llegar a ser una gran emboscada por parte de otras máquinas. Pero hablemos de la capacidad de Smith de proteger a Atlas. Se trata de un robot con un gran potencial desde el punto de vista armamentístico como ágil, aunque no podrá librar su capacidad total hasta que Atlas acepte sincronizarse a través de una conexión neural, que parece ser su último recurso.

Los enemigos son realmente desafiantes y no tendrán piedad alguna de combatir a todo humano visible en el campo de batalla. Smith está preparado para esto y sus sensores son algo que deberá tener bien ajustado para salir una vez más invicto en este combate. Eso sí, todo eso no será nada comparado a lo que les espera más adelante en una pelea final con lujos de detalles, dejando al espectador exhausto emocionalmente al ver lo que sucede con los personajes a los que les habrá tomado cariño.

Colonel Banks (Sterling K. Brown) introduced Atlas to a robotic world where he would have to adapt by force after a massive attack. The moment when the whole team separates and gets lost in a fall into absolute uncertainty. In that great fall towards a inhospitable planet, he meets Smith; a robot he can pilot and have a sort of conversation in a rather dramatic moment where a poorly made decision could mean death.

The incursion to that planet is full of dangers in which any step could turn into a major ambush by other machines. But let's talk about Smith's ability to protect Atlas. He is a robot with great potential from an armament perspective as well as agile, although he won't be able to unleash his full capacity until Atlas agrees to synchronize through a neural connection, which seems to be their last resort.

The enemies are truly challenging and will show no mercy in combating any visible human on the battlefield. Smith is prepared for this and his sensors are something that must be well adjusted to come out victorious once again in this combat. However, all of that will be nothing compared to what awaits them later in a final battle with luxurious details, leaving the viewer emotionally drained by seeing what happens to the characters they have grown fond of.

Los escenarios logran meter a uno de lleno en la trama y ofrecen una variedad muy amplia que logra ser muy cautivador a la vista, lo cual me parece que es un punto muy fuerte a tener en cuenta para disfrutar de una película de ciencia ficción cargada con grandes dosis de acción. Y obviamente el apartado sonoro es excelente para películas de esta categoría.

Me gustaría contarles más pero creo que podría llegar a entrar en spoilers, así que los animo a ver este film que es realmente alucinante, y a pesar que sea ciencia ficción, de alguna manera sabemos que nos estamos acercando a esto y la tecnología lo demostrará.

The scenarios manage to immerse one fully in the plot and offer a very wide variety that manages to be very captivating to the eye, which I think is a very strong point to keep in mind to enjoy a science fiction movie loaded with great doses of action. And obviously the sound section is excellent for movies of this category.

I would like to tell you more but I think could end up going into spoilers, so I encourage you to watch this film that is truly mind-blowing, and although it is science fiction, in some way we know that we are getting closer to this and technology will prove it.
