Retiring German TV moderator Thomas Gottschalk complains about censorship

I wonder why he talks differently at home
Does that mean that he is always trying to sound as perfect as possible on the television?

Jetzt wäre die Frage, was sagt er denn daheim, was er nicht im Fernsehen sagen darf?

Und frage mich wo denn? Ist ja nicht so dass er ne Talkshow moderiert wo es darum geht was sagen zu können/müssen.

Weder Wetten Dass noch DSWNWP wäre eine Sendung für z.B. politische Themen. Ist zumindest meine Meinung.

As at any stage in history, the censors do not believe that they are doing censorship but that they are doing the right thing, which is to protect the listeners.

I think it's something that a lot of people who speak out are facing. This thing in our world were we now literally have to count our words, censor them in our thoughts before daring to speak them out because of several factors. It's sad.

they don't have a choice, audience are to sensitive nowadays. just one word and the show can be bash or cancelled.

Finde ich stark von ihm auch wenn es durch die Blume war. Das mit dem verzweifelten Aufnahmemoderator der hin und her rennt, weil er ein Shitstorm befürchtet fand ich cool ;)

Hätte ich gar nicht gedacht, dass er sich so öffentlich äußern würde 😃

The censorship has been there for a while and I think he is a bit out of touch. However, it's good to see him talking about it.

Jetzt wollen wir doch einmal die Kirche im Dorf belassen. Zensur in den Medien ist präsent, seit es ein unumstößlicher Fakt ist, dass die Geldgeber von außen den Kurs bestimmen. Oder hängt jemand noch immer der Meinung nach, dass ProSiebenSat.1 Media eine kritische Berichterstattung über die Berlusconi-Gruppe MFE zulasse? RTL über Bertelsmann? Dies betreffend, gehören die Öffentlich-Rechtlichen noch zu den Harmlosen.
Was nun Herrn Gottschalk betrifft, sollte nicht unberücksichtigt bleiben, dass dieser Mann seit jeher (ob im Radio oder TV) stets viel labert - dabei allerdings auch reichlich viel Unfug ins offene Mikrofon pustet. Den Nachnamen seines Gastes (Ana Ivanović) aus reiner Unwissenheit und schlampiger Vorbereitung zu verunstalten, gilt da erst als Anfang. Wie und warum überhaupt er zuhause am Frühstückstisch seiner Familie die Welt erklärt, ist seine Privatsache. Tatsache ist allerdings, von ihm (abgesehen von schwammigen Formulierungen) noch nie konkrete Einlassungen zu sozialen oder politischen Vorgängen vernommen zu haben.
Die sich weiter zu verfestigende Vermutung, bei der ARD, im ZDF, 3sat oder Arte stehe 24/7 der Scherenschleifer bereit, um das Zensur-Werkzeug messerscharf zu halten, lässt sich zwar wunderbar ausschmücken, was allerdings nicht zu bedeuten hat, Bezug zur Realität zu haben.

Danke an Herrn Gottschalk. Der ÖRR ist nicht mehr politisch neutral und pusht linksgrüne und woke Propaganda, sowie Gender Ideologie. Ausserdem unterdrückt er die AfD, indem er extrem selten deren Politiker zu Polittalk einlädt und indem er Lügen u.a. in den "Satire"-Formaten verbreitet.

Unfortunately there is more and more self-censorship.

Just like anchors have to take care of a lot of things, if they speak the truth or do something else then they face trouble.
