El día de hoy me he animado a publicar por primera vez en esta comunidad de #movies-tvshows para compartir con ustedes el análisis personal de una película de uno de mis directores favoritos que hasta ahora, no había podido ver. Él es Quentin Tarantino y la película se llama: érase una vez en Hollywood.
Greetings dear readers! I hope you are feeling great. Today I have been encouraged to publish for the first time in this #movies-tvshows community to share with you the personal analysis of a movie of one of my favorite directors that until now, I had not been able to see. He is Quentin Tarantino and the movie is called: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Quentin Tarantino es un conocido director y guionista estadounidense que ha sido aclamado por crear una serie de historias complejas que han resultado ser memorables en el mundo cinematográfico; además sus películas tienen la característica de poseer un lenguaje crudo con diálogos ingeniosos a través de diferentes personajes y tramas osadas, una narrativa no lineal en donde nos cuenta historias no convencionales, con una violencia estilizada llenas de acción y suspenso. Las películas de Tarantino tienen un estilo único y distintivo, ya que sus filmes incluyen tomas creativas, ángulos inusuales y una paleta de colores vibrantes, como también otro de sus sellos es que hace referencia a la cultura pop y sus películas están influenciadas por una amplia corriente musical.
Quentin Tarantino is a well-known American director and screenwriter who has been acclaimed for creating a series of complex stories that have proven to be memorable in the film world; his films have the characteristic of having a raw language with witty dialogues through different characters and daring plots, a non-linear narrative where he tells unconventional stories, with stylized violence full of action and suspense. Tarantino's films have a unique and distinctive style, as his films include creative shots, unusual angles and a vibrant color palette, as well as another of his hallmarks is that he references pop culture and his films are influenced by a wide range of music.
Todos estos elementos descritos anteriormente, se pueden visualizar en la película de Érase una vez en Hollywood, la cual se desarrolla en la década de 1960 en Los Ángeles y sigue la historia de un actor de televisión cuya carrera está en decadencia, junto con su doble de acción que busca abrirse camino en la industria del cine. La película nos muestra una mezcla de ficción y realidad, puesto que reúne a personajes reales como Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski y Charles Manson, enlazando sus historias con la trama principal.
Tarantino a través de érase una vez en Hollywood, nos hace viajar a los finales de los años 60, recordados por ser la famosa época dorada de Hollywood y nos muestra el cambio que ha tenido la industria del cine. En este film se muestra la obsesión por la fama y se ve cuestionada su naturaleza, pero también aborda la relación entre la realidad y la ficción, puesto que sus personajes principales interpretados por Leonardo DiCaprio y Brad Pitt, ayudan a Sharon Tate, siendo Margot Robbie, quien da vida a este personaje, a salvarse del trágico final que tuvo la actriz en la vida real a manos de los seguidores de Charles Manson.
All of these elements described above can be visualized in the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which is set in 1960s Los Angeles and follows the story of a television actor whose career is in decline, along with his stunt double who seeks to make his way in the film industry. The film shows us a mix of fiction and reality, as it brings together real characters such as Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski and Charles Manson, linking their stories to the main plot.
Tarantino, through Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, takes us back to the late 60's, remembered for being the famous golden age of Hollywood and shows us the change that the film industry has undergone. This film shows the obsession for fame and questions its nature, but also addresses the relationship between reality and fiction, since its main characters played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, help Sharon Tate, being Margot Robbie, who gives life to this character, to save herself from the tragic end that the actress had in real life at the hands of the followers of Charles Manson.
Esta película fue muy bien aceptada por el público y además, contó con 10 nominaciones a los Oscar en la 92ª edición de los premios a la academia, donde resultó ganadora de dos estatuillas. Brad Pitt recibió el premio a Mejor Actor de Reparto por su interpretación de Cliff Booth y también a la Mejor Dirección de Arte. Se estrenó en el festival de cine de Cannes en el año 2019 y contó con un reparto excepcional, ya que estuvo integrado por Leonardo DiCaprio interpretando a Rick Dalton, Brad Pitt en el papel de Cliff Booth, Margot Robbie como Sharon Tate, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Luke Perry, Mike Moh, Al Paciono, Kurt Russell y para de contar.
Tarantino no solo reunió a un elenco único y talentoso, sino que tuvo la capacidad de extraer actuaciones gloriosas de cada uno de ellos. Uno de esos detalles que me gustaron de esta película es que este director pudo capturar la esencia del cine de los años 60, incluye muchas referencias que son significativas para la época, tales como el vestuario, la música, los colores, personajes del mundo del cine de los 60 que marcaron una diferencia, como por ejemplo la escena en donde Mike Moh interpreta a Bruce Lee, también se ve como incluyen a Roman Polanski y a Steve McQueen, interpretados por Rafal Zawierucha y Damian Lewis respectivamente. La película incluye personajes reales que formaron parte de ese paisaje de Hollywood y personajes ficticios, como el de Rick Dalton que está inspirado en varios actores reales y Cliff Booth, el cual Quentin Tarantino escribió este personaje específicamente para Brad Pitt, después de haber trabajado juntos en Bastardos sin gloria, otra de las grandes películas de Tarantino.
This film was very well accepted by the public and also had 10 Oscar nominations at the 92nd Academy Awards, where it won two statuettes. Brad Pitt received the award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Cliff Booth and also for Best Art Direction. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 and featured an exceptional cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, Austin Butler, Dakota Fanning, Luke Perry, Mike Moh, Al Paciono, Kurt Russell and so on.
Tarantino not only assembled a unique and talented cast, but he had the ability to extract glorious performances from each of them. One of those details that I liked about this film is that this director was able to capture the essence of the cinema of the 60's, he includes many references that are significant for the time, such as the costumes, the music, the colors, characters from the world of 60's cinema that made a difference, such as the scene where Mike Moh plays Bruce Lee, you can also see how they include Roman Polanski and Steve McQueen, played by Rafal Zawierucha and Damian Lewis respectively. The film includes real characters that were part of that Hollywood landscape and fictional characters, such as Rick Dalton who is inspired by several real actors and Cliff Booth, who Quentin Tarantino wrote this character specifically for Brad Pitt, after having worked together in Inglourious Basterds, another of Tarantino's great films.
La película también recrea la famosa calle de Cielo Drive, donde tuvo lugar el trágico asesinato de la actriz Sharon Tate y sus amigos a manos del clan Manson, el cual conmocionó al mundo y tuvo un impacto perdurable en la cultura popular. Quentin Tarantino rinde homenaje a esta actriz, mostrando su vida y parte de su carrera antes de su fatal desenlace. La interpretación de Margot Robbie, sin duda alguna captura la inocencia y el encanto que tenía Tate, así como su prometedor futuro que fue cortado prematuramente.

Les recomiendo ver esta película, ya que me parece que es única y fascinante, a pesar de que algunos piensen que es un poco dispersa por las distintas perspectivas en las que se narra la historia, sin embargo érase una vez en Hollywood, fue un éxito comercial y recibió múltiples nominaciones y premios.
I recommend watching this film, as I think it is unique and fascinating, although some may think it is a bit scattered because of the different perspectives in which the story is told, however Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was a commercial success and received multiple nominations and awards.

He visto esta película, inicialmente fue aburrida pero luego pude entenderla. Aunque no estoy seguro de que sea una película que me gustaría ver dos veces.
