Vivarium, un vecindario surrealista 🏘️ ESP/ENG

Vivarium es una de esas películas que vi en pandemia buscando entretenerme y la verdad es que me dejo gratamente sorprendida, porque cuando decidí verla me la imagine de cierta forma, no me esperaba una trama tan extraña, envolvente y surrealista.

Los protagonistas de Vivarium son una pareja común y corriente que están buscando donde vivir, así que se dirigen a una inmobiliaria que llamo su atención por como mostraban en la publicidad a un vecindario que presumía de ser accesible, estando ahí, el encargado de la inmobiliaria les dice que pueden ir a ver el dichoso vecindario y la pareja acepto, pero ya en el lugar no quedaron convencidos con lo que vieron, todas las casas eran iguales, muy cuadradas y perfectas como para muñecas, la urbanización parecía algún tipo de maqueta, por lo que decidieron irse, al ser ellos más espontáneos, entendieron que ese lugar no encajaba con sus formas, pero es aquí, cuando intentan irse en su vehículo, que la perturbación comienza... La pareja, por más que avanzaran en su vehículo, no lo graban salir del vecindario, siempre paraban en el mismo lugar, como si estuvieran en una especie de bucle. Fueron tantos sus intentos de irse, que el vehículo se quedó sin gasolina y se vieron obligados a quedarse en la casa que el encargado (el cual desapareció misteriosamente) les había mostrado. Allí pasaron la noche con la esperanza de poder irse al otro día, pero esto no pudo ser, estaban atrapados en aquel lugar y la particular pesadilla apenas comenzaba.

Vivarium is one of those movies that I saw in pandemic looking to entertain myself and the truth is that I was pleasantly surprised, because when I decided to watch it I imagined it in a certain way, I did not expect such a strange, enveloping and surreal plot.

The protagonists of Vivarium are an ordinary couple who are looking for a place to live, so they go to a real estate agency that called their attention for how they showed in its advertising a neighborhood that claimed to be accessible, being there, the real estate manager tells them that they can go to see the neighborhood and the couple accepted, but already in the place they were not convinced with what they saw, all the houses were the identical, very square and perfect as for dolls, the urbanization looked like some kind of scale model, so they decided to leave, as they were more spontaneous, they understood that this place did not fit with their forms, but it is here, when they try to leave in their vehicle, that the disturbance starts. .. The couple, no matter how far they went in their vehicle, did not record it leaving the neighborhood, they always ended up in the same place, as if they were in some kind of loop. Their attempts to leave were so many that the vehicle ran out of gas and they were forced to stay in the house that the attendant (who mysteriously disappeared) had shown them. There they spent the night in the hope of leaving the next day, but this could not be, they were trapped in that place and the particular nightmare was just beginning.

Todo suena muy loco, ¿cierto?, pero se pone a un más loco cuando de la nada a la pareja le dejan un bebe al que los obligan a criar, un bebe que se desarrolla de forma exageradamente rápida y que termina de alterar la cordura de nuestros protagonistas. ¿Quiénes están detrás de todo aquello?, no lo sabemos, pero podemos imaginar que no son humanos comunes o tal vez ni siquiera son humanos, porque todo el lugar está compuesto de forma extraña y todo lo que sucede parece un plan para algo, algo fuera de los parámetros de lo normal.

El surrealismo que visualizaremos en esta pelicula es abundante, es sin duda una mezcla de terror con ciencia ficción, todo parece un sueño de esos locos que las personas tenemos de vez en cuando. El misterio está latente mientras la historia progresa, puesto que todo lo que sucede es demasiado anormal, como espectadores sentiremos, junto con los protagonistas, la necesidad de saber qué está pasando y descubrir quienes los atraparon ahí, con qué motivo, pero, ¿lo llegaremos a saber?, pues vean la película. 😆

Everything sounds crazy, doesn't it?, but it gets even crazier when out of nowhere the couple is left with a baby that they are forced to raise, a baby that develops extremely fast and ends up altering the sanity of our protagonists. Who is behind it all?, we don't know, but we can imagine that they are not common humans or maybe they are not even humans, because the whole place is composed in a strange way and everything that happens seems a plan for something, something out of the parameters of normality.

The surrealism that we will visualize in this movie is abundant, it is undoubtedly a mixture of horror and science fiction, everything seems like one of those crazy dreams that people have from time to time. The mystery is latent while the story progresses, since everything that happens is too abnormal, as viewers we will feel, along with the protagonists, the need to know what is happening and find out who trapped them there, with what reason, but, will we get to know?, watch the movie. 😆

Este filme es de esos que nos hacen reflexionar de una forma poco común que lo que parece perfecto, muchas veces no lo es. Lo que hace que nuestra existencia sea especial, son las diferencias, cuando estas no existen y todo es igual, no se siente natural, es inorgánico y simplemente no fuimos diseñados para eso, la vida es más que un molde al que todos debemos seguir.

Las actuaciones de los actores están muy bien logradas, no hay muchos, así que quienes tienen el protagonismo destacan. La estética no es nada del otro mundo, pero cuando están en el vecindario del terror, si llama la atención ver que todo es igual, causa una sensación incomoda el verlos intentar irse varias veces y que todo lo que vean sea igual de manera infinita...

Si te gusta el misterio, lo extraño, el surrealismo y una historia que te invite a dejar volar tu imaginación, Vivarium te gustara, a mí me gusto bastante, así que la recomiendo.

This film is one of those that make us reflect in an unusual way that what seems perfect, often is not. What makes our existence special are the differences, when these do not exist and everything is the same, it does not feel natural, it is not organic and we were simply not designed for that, life is more than a mold that we all must follow.

The performances of the actors are very well done, there are not many, so those who have the leading roles stand out. The aesthetics are nothing special, but when they are in the neighborhood of horror, it's interesting to see that everything is the same, it causes an uncomfortable feeling to see them try to leave several times and everything they see is the same infinitely ...

If you like mystery, strangeness, surrealism and a story that invites you to let your imagination fly, you will like Vivarium, I liked it a lot, so I recommend it.
