Axel F. on Netflix - I totally enjoyed it - should have been a cinema-movie!

Yesterday I brought my kids here and there and came home, ready to work. Then it came to my mind that the new Axel F. movie just hit Netflix, and as a big fan of the first three movies, I thought I'd watch the first thirty minutes and then finish the rest in the evening. Well, I did watch the first thirty minutes, but I didn't manage to stop, so I watched it all at once and I had a great time doing so!

Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) is back and he definitely keeps up the mood and his character, even though 30 years have passed since the last movie in the series. We also see Billy and Taggart in the movie, and even though they still are alive and part of the movie, and even though they keep the lines from the first movies, Eddie Murphy as Axel Foley is the one who makes the movie be a hit (to me).

In the movie, we meet an Axel Foley who has a very bad relationship with his daughter (who lives in LA). Axel is in Detroit making a mess (as always), but he comes to LA after Billy tells him that Jane is in trouble after she decided to take up a special case (in which dirty cops might be involved).

Axel comes to LA and the case moves on and so does the relationship between Axel and Jane. With Axel comes the funny conversations, the slang, the action, and lots of humor, just like we remember it from the original movies.

If you aren't a fan of Axel Foley, then you will not enjoy the movie. But, if you liked the original movies, I do believe you will enjoy this, and like me, hope that a fifth movie will be produced as well in the future.

The only thing I feel sorry about is that this movie didn't come to the cinemas. Of course, it is cheaper to watch it at home on Netflix, but this is a movie I would have loved to see in the cinema. What do you think?
