Fan Screening in Thailand - Furiosa

Hi Everyone,

This time in Bangkok, I got some tickets to attend a fan screening session to watch Furiosa. I was going to watch this movie because of Chris Hemsworth but I used this opportunity to watch the movie with some Thailand celebrities - Tay and Nanon. I was trying to get tickets once it was released and even though I had an account, the cinema couldn’t recognise my Thai number so my only chance was to get a ticket from a reseller online. Luckily I was able to and got a ticket in the 5th row from the front.

This is the second time I attended a fan screening (the first time was last year) and I met up with a fan friend at the venue to see the guys up close before going into the movies. Fan screenings in Thailand is great because you get to watch the movie with the stars and then you get to see them plays games and have other interactions. There aren’t many countries that do this kind of fan screening so it was one of the highlights on this trip apart from the concert.

Once I got to the venue, I went to find a spot first and then went to find my friend who was waiting to get her ticket from another reseller also. We both exchanged our wristbands and went to grab a quick dinner. As we were going the escalators, we saw some fans who didn’t get a movie ticket was waiting downstairs for the celebs to come by and get a glimpse of them.

The event started at 6 pm and at 6 pm sharp, we could see Tay and Nanon arriving they were talking to fans and also started doing some interviews for the cinema to put up on social media later in the evening. The movie was great compared to what I saw last year which was Indiana Jones and straight afterward the movie ended, Tay and Nanon were out playing games and interacting with fans. I knew what was happening during the games but with the talking, I can probably understand 5%. I am learning Thai so hopefully get better next year. By the time everything finished, it was already 10.30 pm. Luckily we had some food beforehand or else we would be going home hungry without dinner. Later that night, they posted a photo of all the fans who saw the movie with them and you probably be able to find me there with my friend. I love these fan screenings in Thailand!
